My Tickr HRM strap has been playing up and I'm too impulsive to troubleshoot.

Bought this tonight, although coming from the US. Lowest price since May 2021.

Somehow I got it for $69.81 so price may move as stock does?

  • $70 ish for those who want to save a click

    • updated sorry. 2nd time posting.

  • Just FYI - I've heard the new version is no longer compatible with the generic garmin straps…

  • +1

I've had three tickrx and all three played up after a while, I use it every day riding my bike. Wahoo replaced them twice for free after i contacted them via email - I had to cut strap in half and rip out the spring that holds the battery in and send them a photo of it before they would send me a replacement. After the 3rd one became intermittent I decided they are a POS, so bought a garmin and it has worked without fault for over 7 months now - which is about 4 months longer than the Wahoo.

    • I also contacted Wahoo as my HR data was rubbish and they sent me another one which has worked OK for the last 6-12 months.
I also have a Polar HR strap which I believe is more accurate.

    • I've equally had some issues with a replacement sent but I'm too lazy this time around.

Funnily, my Garmin HRM used to give me all sorts of issues so I decided to give them the boot.

    • Yup. I've heard similar stories.

I myself have been using the HR strap off my old garmin FR620 running watch kit from 7 years ago and it is still going strong. I've only just ordered a replacement strap as the monitor pads are starting to bow convexly and creates a poor contact surface.

  • We use a coospo one which is currently $49 - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B07HHZQ85Y/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • Interesting - never heard of them. Any good? Accurate?

      • Been using it while on our spin bike, gets daily use now and has gone 3 weeks on a single charge, used daily for about 30 minutes, still on 70%. Pretty happy with it for the price. Seems about as accurate as a Fitbit Versa 3.

  • Polar H9 is 67.86

  • Wouldn't mind it over the Garmin wireless one I never use.

    • Which garmin one have you got?

      • Just the one that came with the edge
