I've been trying to better organise my cables lately, so I bought some cable organiser boxes for my home theatre setup last week. I was also recommended these for my desk – it looks like a good price compared to others on Amazon and eBay, and similar to what we have in my employer's office.

I feel like this applies to pretty much every Amazon random generic Chinese thing, and it's getting a bit tiring

    Usually $35.97

    But is it reallllly?

    • +4

      No it's not.

Have a neg for jacking your price before a sale.

    IKEA $15, no deal

    • +2

Agreed IKEA the way to go.
      Cheaper on aliexpress $13.68

      • -3

Fair enough – IKEA is a fair distance from me, so I personally don't mind paying extra to have it delivered to me (and avoid the IKEA maze as well).
I don't shop from AliExpress much because I feel less confident seeking remediation if something went wrong (e.g. doesn't turn up, faulty) compared to Amazon/eBay, especially since I haven't received tracking most of the time. Also, it often takes month(s) for items to arrive. Of course, that's just me and everyone's risk thresholds and needs are different…

Also worth noting this item has 2x in the pack and doesn't require screws.

        • +2

IKEA delivery for the Signum is $9, so its only $24 delivered. Whilst its not a 2 pack, its worth noting the Signum is 70cm wide, whereas the product in this deal is a 2 pack of 40cm - so they are similar total length. However a single 70cm vs 2x 40cm may have different usefulness in people's use cases. And yes, the Signum requires screws, which may not work for some.

Regardless, this deal just feels shafty (camel shows a jack) and overpriced for a "sale" of $28, which still seems steep for what it is.

@unknown-entity: Fair points! To be honest, I have become addicted to Amazon Prime's express postage and excellent customer service (I just ordered something yesterday and it came today – for "free"), so I do often look there first now. But I recognise many people aren't Prime members and have different use cases.

      • $13.68 for 1 or for 2?

    • is there ones like the above but not screws, IKEA one is screwing in it seems

  • +3

Lmao. I saw this yesterday for $28 without the code. This is just jacked.

    • +1

yep, camel shows this was the case since Feburary lol, then today all of a sudden jacked 🤔

      • Camel can see that it was only included on the first day, not suddenly jacked up

    • +4

really hate this kind of stupid play by the sellers….
      Boring and meaningless.
If they are not really here to share some "deals", just don't waste the space on the website page.

  • cheapest can be had for 13 bucks on ali.

  • camelx3 is gold…. IKEA > some drop shipped product

  • +1

IKEA Signum for $15 is where it’s at. Cheaper and WAY better than these types. I have 3 in the house, super worth it.

    This is a terrible deal.

  • +1

AFAIK IKEA Signum you have to drill them into the table?

    • yes, you have to drill 4 small holes, they don't need to go right through the table, I think its about 8mm deep each

      • deep enough for a powerboard and plugs?

  • i acutally had a similar product like this on my to buy list, but this sort of posts put me off completely.

  • I know everyone is rubbishing this post, but is there somewhere else the exact same thing can be bought cheaper right now? If yes, please post. Thx.

    • +3

this looks pretty darn similar, $14, but the only thing is it won't arrive in 2 days like Amazon. My recent experience with Ali is about on average 2 weeks for delivery, so it's not toooo bad. Their cust service/refund system tends to side with the buyer
      https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLaBfui

had a quick search and there's also smaller ones for about $7, and eBay has the smaller ones for $11 too

      • thanks!

      • Don’t forget GST with Ali express

      • Ozbargain'd, darn.

        • Actually nevermind, there are other sellers of it.

  • +1

Sorry Op but will have to neg for price jacking (fake sale) according to Camel.
Also someone associated just reposted this deal and got done for sockpuppeting.

    • +1

I reported the previous deal that was posted as sockpuppeting as I remembered seeing it posted recently

Edit: Neg because of price jacking from $29.98 to $35.97 as shown on x3camel to include a coupon

    • +1

I just saw that. That reposted deal was not run past me and I totally do not condone it. Clearly, the store owner is unhappy with the performance of my posted deal, so has attempted to rectify it. This is my first time working with them as an affiliate, but I will not do so again!

      • I used to have a Twitter account linked to my OzB account but ppl were reaching out to me and asking to post deals as affiliate but I’ve been saying no to it

Since then I’ve removed the Twitter account linked to OzB

        • Yes, that's a good call. I will likely avoid any affiliate posts in the future.

  • What's with the new account you created to sockpuppet?

    • +1

To be clear, I did not create any new account (happy for the mods to corroborate this via IP address) – the store owner must have had another affiliate post it, or created a new account to attempt to direct attention away from this deal I posted for him. This was my first time working with them, and it will be my last.

Apologies to the OzBargain community for this. I did not realise they would do this.

      • Fair enough. Sorry to jump to accusations.
