    Get to the ch-eckout!

    • C'MAAN! DO IT!

  • +19

$95 for the game is too much

    • +5

Especially with it being a voucher.

      • +4

I just realised. I thought it was a disc ver.

    • Agreed, JB is doing the same bundle. I mean it will turn away scalpers I guess but not a fan of these forced bundles.

      • Wont turn them away whatsoever. They're still making a profit.

        • +1

It's a big chunk of their profit with a digital download code. It's not going to stop them completely but restocks are getting better so people are having less reason to buy scalp prices now anyway unless they are spare of the moment buyers.

          • -2

@Damannation: Have you seen the latest scalping prices? Just because they're forced to buy HZ doesn't mean they can't sell that as well to make up some of the lost profit. I don't think you understand what you're talking about.

            • +2

@NeggerOfDeals: Sure have, they are selling between $800 - $1200 and a lot of them listed for under $1000. Even CEX is only buying them for $885. It would not be easy to sell a $95 download code when you can get it cheaper than that and a bit of a waste of time to sell them in bulk. Stores are also starting to get restocks more frequent and limiting to 1 buy. Scalpers were making the price of a console profit at launch, they are making no where that now. Never said it was going to stop them, it sure as hell eats their profit and slows them down to the point where it's not just easy money anymore. Seems more like you don't know what you are talking about.

  • +5

If it was a physical copy game I'd totally consider it.

  • +4

Been waiting for a PS5 since launch, early for once but have now lost the eagerness to buy especially with the rip off bundles

    Good luck peeps and enjoy

    • +4

      Not this comment again….

        • +4

Honestly, (profanity) you and people like you.

  • +1

    5 minutes and still avaiable

  • still not sold out Lol

  • +3

$96 for a digital copy of Horizon Forbidden West is nasty but, I guess if people want the console bad enough, they'll pay.

  • Hmmm, impulse click just assuming a mate will want it.

  • +4

Love how they list 8k support for the console in the description despite this not yet even being supported by the console

  • Is this a disc version or digital for the console

    • Disc

    • disc

    • +1

Disc version with a digital game.

    • +1

Thanks guys probably give it a pass and keep waiting for console only

  • Buy now, think later!

  • It's expensive for a digital version of the game however if you're willing to overlook that $95, it's not too bad.

  • I had a feeling there will be an abundance of these.
You can also find this bundle at JB and TGG.
It made perfect sense for Sony to do this.

  • Are there any PS5 exclusive games right now? Wondering when I should think of upgrading

  • +3

Ordered then cancelled realising it's Digital version of the game which I can't even resell after playing.

  • Why are they forcing people to get the game by releasing such bundle?

    • +2

Many people believe it is to stop scalping.

      • +1

People can still scalp by making a less profit or set a higher price.
Or the game is so bad that will drive potential buyers away? :P

        • +2

It automatically makes it less appealing to buyers because no one wants to pay $95 for a digital game and on top of that, scalper tax.

    • +7

Extra money to line their pockets :)

They don't compare to the Gamesmen who want you to buy 34 games and a microwave bundle, to get a console.

      • Gamesmen bundle is nasty

    • +1

Sony (and most other companies) have done these kind of bundles for a long time, it's nothing new.

      • Yes, but not when there is shortage in supply for the standalone console?

  • Is there anywhere I can get the Xbox Series X without the bundle except Costco(I don't have a membership).

    • +1

XSX without the bundle? Did they ever even come in a bundle?

      • There was a halo limited edition

        • The console was limited edition !! it was still the same price as the normal Xbox.. then scalped for double the price on market place

    • Telstra, you can cancel gamepass straight away.

      • I haven't got telstra postpaid so can't get it through Telstra either. And by bundle I meant i just needed the standalone console (no bundles with games or additional controllers)

        • Just get a cheap post paid data Sim and cancel after 1 month, that's all I did.
I have also heard people just walking into Telstra and being able to but them.
          Good luck 👍

  • +3

Impulse bought one. And my backlog on PC/Xbox/PS4 is already so bad.

    • +5

Now that's the right attitude. It's the OzB way.

  • +1

    No more ~

  • "Currently unavailable."

    OzBargain'd!

  • +6

Anyone want to rebuy mine at cost? I impulse bought one but wife said she is gonna kill me if I actually keep it haha

    If not I'll cancel.

    • +13

Buy first. Get scolded by the wife later…the true Ozbargain way!
You could always keep the console and cancel the wife

      • Genius.

      • +7

The wives on here sound nuts. My wife lets me buy whatever I want.

        • -1

A lot of wives I've come across in this situation are stay at home partners, in which case shouldn't really have a say in the matter unless you're financially scraping by as a family, or if you're the type that buys consoles and never uses them.

        • My partner doesnt have any say in what i buy for personal use, just like i don't get to decide for her what she can/cant buy.
(this works as long as neither of you are irresponsible numbskulls).

        • +1

Problem is… Stay at home wives know when all the delivers come. I've started sending it to work but work is now asking "wtf is wrong with you? You get 2 packages every day"

I smile and nod, then walk away slowly

          • @Zitane: Use Auspost Parcel lockers. Probably one near you or your work somewhere. The service is free to use.

    • Tell her that you’ll list it on Gumtree and you play it only to test it!

    • +1

The only impulse pick here seems to be the partner. 60% of marriages end in divorce. There's several million potential partners out there, many who would support your hobbies or even join you, but fewer PS5s available to buy. A true Ozbargainer would pick the latter (/s but also not /s)

    • +1

      Just keep it.

It's been a year and a half now and getting a PS5 is still a pain in the ass.

Also, take your wife out to dinner or something. What I did recently was buy my wife the smallest Frame TV for her home office and had it mounted. Haven't heard a thing from her since.

    • +4

Somewhat interested. How much did your wife originally cost?

  • I don't understand why these are such a hot ticket item still - the xbox demand has finally evened out and is regularly in stock. Meanwhile, the PS5 runs out in seconds.

    • +8

PS5 more popular than the Xbox

      • +1

Possibly but also availability due to Microsoft paying for priority chip manufacturing.

    • -1

      Scalpers and their enablers

    • Microsoft paid a premium to secure silicon, giving then a production advantage, the PS5s are still being drip fed into the market as available. Both great consoles, Xbox has the gamepass advantage, PS5 controller is more comfortable and enjoyable.

    • Not many people are wanting xbone could be?. I still have my xbone one s and dont see the point of upgrading. Unless you want to go with their game pass collection, ps5 disc version is a worthy purchase imo. Even with the recent price drops for series S version, the value of it for price paid is very poor when you consider available space and price of proprietary upgrade options.

  • I subscribed to this yesterday, why did I get the email notification so late? (just 20 minutes late) but for this kind of purchase took for ever and i lost the opportunity :(

    • +3

      Better to use Twitter alert.

    • +2

Just call your local JB hifi and the good guys. Most likely one will have stock

      • Literally this.
If you're paying scalpers when stock is much easier to obtain, you're the problem, not them.

    • ozbargain notifications are generaly 15-25 mins late.

  • I’d actually want digital forbidden west

    • +1

Why? You can't do anything with it once it's completed.

  • Anyone else’s order initially say delivery Saturday then changed to ‘unknown’ ?

    • Yep same here.

  • anyone recieved any updates? still stuck on preparing your shipment

  • Amazon notification just received: "We're encountering a delay in shipping your order. We'll send a confirmation as soon as it ships and communicate the expected delivery date. We apologise for the inconvenience."

  • Arriving today!

  • I must be the only one still not received this yet!
