The 'value' of 110,000 Qantas Points is diminishing daily, by all reports.

    • +1

      Agrred
Also Last time I checked it was something like $1000 in "carrier fees" to get return Europe tickets

      • And, by all the reports I'm seeing, numerous flight changes or cancellations, missed connections, no refunds or extremely slow to refund $ or points, lost luggage, etc, etc.

        • +7

Unfortunately, that refers more to the general state of flying right now than to the Frequent Flyer program specifically…

    • Last i looked for Perth to New York, was 110,400 points and "from" $460 in taxes, the biggest problem was the 5 to 8 hour layover.

  • If you have a black already can you apply for this one?

    • If it is Frequent Flyer Black then no.

ensure if applying for an offer, you don’t currently hold and haven’t opened or closed an ANZ Frequent Flyer Black, ANZ Frequent Flyer Platinum or an ANZ Frequent Flyer credit card in the last 12 months.

    • Will need to wait 12 months between cancelling

Signing up for an ANZ CC will take you a lifetime.

GF signed up, they called to verify some information after 2 weeks. We call them after another 2 weeks and they sad they're looking at it.
Been 1.5+ months. Going to call to cancel application.

    • I had to wait three weeks to get approved, and only got through after complaining several times.

I have no mortgage, plenty of money in the bank, and a healthy salary.

By contrast, my credit card application with NAB was turned around overnight. Worlds apart.

  • They rejected my application.

explanation: 'as overall financials does not meet the lending criteria'
nothing more; credit check was: good

    • They are the tightest of all the credit card lenders I've found. Rejected multiple times for ANZ Black but have plenty of other black level cards in my history from elsewhere.

Just for awareness, I did the Progress Saver account then Black Account option back in April. The ANZ app was showing 160K points and $255 back to my account. As of right now that deal is still being shown in the application. However clicking on the Learn More takes you to a landing page which is indicating 100K points with an extra 30K at the anniversary date.

So I got my bonus points about 2 weeks ago and they gave me 100K only. I raised a complaint with ANZ and told them what I applied for from the app and what was still displaying in the app today. I had to provide them with the screen shots from the app and they have recently wrote to me saying they will honour the 160K.

I suspect that this will be fixed in the app shortly so if anyone is looking for this option then make sure you take screen shots of what is shown in the app regardless of where the landing page takes you.

Their mistake, not mine and they realise that hence getting the full 160K.

    • I’m still waiting for my points to be credited, but I did insure to take numerous screenshots to make sure that I don’t get credit at any less than they advertised!

Good to know, thanks for the comment

    • Have you tried disabling adblocker on your browser before clicking the link? A lot of people had the same issue in the ANZ black deal and adblocker was blocking the site from tracking existing ANZ customer.

      • I didn't but I got the end result anyway having spoke to ANZ direct and them investigating and accepting the outcome.

        • While you got the desired outcome, other people who face the issue might not be as lucky.

Better to get it right from the start especially for an issue with a known fix than to need to go down the route to contact customer service and get it resolved.

    • How did you contact anz to get this resolved? I'm worried I will have to through the exact same thing… prior to signing up to the card I called ANZ and spoke with various CC teams and none could confirm it was 110000 points after the spend -.-

      • Their standard contact number. I got through to the CC team in the end and they couldn't see it either. So I said I wanted to escalate and they raised a case as a complaint.

Someone called me a few days later and I explained to her, provided screenshots as per the ask and then a few days after that again I got a call saying they would honour it.

The statement I just got from ANZ includes my missing 60k points so now I have it all and can cancel the card at some point.

        • Thankyou I'll keep that in mind should I need it.

  • Already had a ANZ card at the start of the year so can't apply. Sad face.

  • Does anyone know what the approx. minimum salary range would be for this card?

  • Gonna be a while before I can start my next round of ANZ Qantas bonus points

  • +1

Would you be able to prepay expenses (e.g. fuel or groceries) to get to the bonus points amount? I know gift cards can be cash advances, but I was thinking about crediting an account for petrol if that’s possible.

    • +1

can't see how they would know the difference between gift card purchases and regular groceries. anything that's not in their exclusion list should be fair game

  • Targeted means; for all Anz customers only? Or even targeted to *some Anz customers only?
some existing anz cant apply/get the same bonus points and cashback?

If the latter than i wouldnt bother open an unnecessary new trx or saving acct..

  • +1

How long do they take to approve?
How long till you get the card?

  • +1

got rejected for 180k salary plus 2 millions assets

    • Wow perhaps they look for lower salary who dependant on their credit card products so they can make money.. are you an existing anz customer or had to open a new account, probably they indicate us for just churning the points

  • +1

Applied last Friday and got approved today.

The only call I received was to confirm credit limit…

  • Anz customer now.. for nothing ;) can only see normal offers 70k and $100 back

    • Still showing for me. Are you using the app?

    • +2

Same for me on pc but get anz app on your phone and try
For you > Personal Accounts > Credit Cards > ANZ FF Cards
      It should show up.

      • Omg, you're a legend, I couldn't find it for the life of me. Thanks!

  • On 3rd month no points yet

  • Anyone knows if I can pay council rate using this card to reach the minimum spending?

  • I got fed up after weeks of this and that.. and closed the application tonight. Plus the $100 cashback now only brings the annual fee to $195… I'm going to apply for the Westpack, hopefully it will be a better experience ?!

  • As this offer only appears on ANZ mobile app, has anyone experienced any issues in getting 110K point and $200 back. I've applied yesterday and got approved today. Hence would like to keep right expectation before start spending.

  • +1

I've got the $200 cashback at beginning of the month - 1 month after met the spending requirement, but haven't see the bonus points yet.

  • Got my first statement today.
Have already met the min spend.
No bonus points yet but was charged the full 295 fee, no 200 Cashback applied yet.
Is the 200 usually applied in the 2nd month?

  • Anz is so outdated, i actually applied and was denied the CC based on them not accepting the following income sources:

Airbnb, Private rental agreements, Share profits, small Buisness income, the only thing they accepted was payee income from a part time job. Despite a tax return in 6 figures over last 10 years they denied the application. I asked a question so a small buisness owner having earnt over 100k pa is not eligable income, answer yes, why, they say because its a buisness that can fail.. I showed 6 figures in bank account doesnt matter ANZ are tools, and as a result of this action they lost 5 customers and i made sure over 10 million in home loans were transfered to another bank, retention later called but said they couldnt approve the cc regardless as it was another department. GG anz.

    • Anz credit card team doesn't know how to deal with anything other than a salary. You'll get 1000 calls for clarification, requests for documentation, and then eventually your application gets lost in the ether.

If you're just earning a salary it's fine. If not, don't bother with anz their cards staff don't know how to deal anything else.

  • Anyone know the number to call ANZ about the bonus points?
