Such an excellent game. Pumped for sequel. Season pass not worth it but donkey Kong is.

Isn't Donkey Kong in the season pass?

      • Yeah buy a season pass and you get all the DLC including kong

Thanks OP loved the base game sometime ago. Got the DLC

Lame, need to be signed into a switch already. Its a gift purchase and wanted to get a game

    • what/,

If you can use a friend's switch to create/login to an account, you can then purchase games on the web using that account and have them ready to go when you get your switch.

      • Oh cool thanks for the idea. Will ask a mate to do it on his.

Shows where the new one and its price model will be in a year or so.

    • Try 3

      • -1

        Nope 1 year will do

        • Took more than a year for the originals season pass to go on sale at all, and almost 5 years to reach this price.

          It’s an Aug 2017 release. https://www.dekudeals.com/items/mario-rabbids-kingdom-battle…

Maybe new one will drop in price quicker, but the originals took quite a while to drop significantly as a stand alone release. Think for a while there the Gold Edition saw more discounting than the standalone DLC.

          • @Smigit: If you are chasing after a digital then yes you might be right. But based on the previous physical copy, unfortunately ubisoft games do not hold value that long.

            Take a look at the previous deal below;

            https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/420426

The game came out in late August 2017, the deal was on Nov 2018. Took 1 year (and a bit) to be half and less to the price

            • @Jay Nomad: I assumed we were referring to the DLC sorry, which is why I linked to that.

The original was definitely sub $30 for much of its life physically.

  • Does this mean you own the game? Or you only have access for limited time?

    • +2

If you buy the base game it means you own it (digitally). The Season Pass refers to getting all the additional downloadable content (DLC) up to a certain date, which usually works out cheaper than buying all individual DLC items on its own.

  • I was surprised by how much I enjoy this game… played on the game trial for free and still decided to buy it afterwards for the discounted price.
