    • Nahh there will definitely be a samsung promo for the fold/flip 4. Possible one for the Pixel 7 when launch in October. There could be one soon for the iphone 13 mini to clear the stocks into oblivion.

      • when you can buy a sweet 4G dual sim andriod for $150 or less and 5G around $300, Im not in the market for overpriced latest and greatest (its not that great)

I just got a used 12Mini 256gb for $475 and paid $45 at Apple for a new screen as it had applecare attached to it! Looks perfect and its 5G!

Next the Vodafone $85 plan is now $65 and can attest to it being UNLIMITED FULL SPEED DATA so bye bye NBN and soon ROAMING ON TELSTRA

Lock in a deal NOW as ALL NEW SIGNUPS WILL BE GOING UP due to Inflation

I got similar deal in April end.

It was $1250 off a Samsung device or $800 JB Gift card and $79 per month for 2 years with 300GB data

So I bought the S22 for $1250 and returned it to another store for a $1250 JB gift card. Also no need to hassle for $20 port in credit as plan is already $79 a month which is covered by work

  • Hi, Good Morning everyone.
I want to check regarding mobile number & plan swap. Can anyone please help me.
I have 2 Telstra numbers in my account ( 1 from jbhifi - 12 months & 1 from good guys- Hisense tv plan recently for 24 months)
My wife’s number is with Vodafone.
Is it possible to get her Vodafone mobile number to one of my number of Telstra plan???
We are happy to change ownerships in Telstra account.
I went to Telstra store & Custemor assistant said “No” to me but I have a feeling that it’s because of busy on weekend.
I am pretty sure someone on Ozbargain can help me to sort it out.
    Thank you in advance.

From what I understand, wife's Vodafone number is in her name? You want to transfer that number to Telstra under your name.. Correct?

I think, you would need to take your wife to Vodafone and apply for change of ownership. It will first transfer to your name. Once done you should be able to port that to your account.

  • Can we live chat and seek the port in credit before we port in rather than trying our luck after? If so are they open on Sundays as the CC seems to be only from M-F? Any links to the live chat or is that the one which automatically pops up?

You can apply for a $10 port in credit followed by a $120 once off waiver. I did that for the $69 plan a few weeks back and was successful. However I did needed to go thru telstra rep 2 times

    • Can we explain how this works? Do you do this as part of signing up or after getting on board?

      • +1

Telstra offer port in credit $120 and $10 a month discount on plans around 50-75 a month for TELSTRA PLANS, but customer service seem to also be persuaded to add it to JBHIFI TELSTRA PLANS. They dont have to, but they seem pretty likley if persistant, you will get it. Plans like $99 can get a $300 port in credit and $20 monthly credit. Most settle for $10 if offered and once you settle it hard to ever get it changed, so negotiate well.

        • So this is done at JB when you sign up?

      • I just got a $10 port in credit/12 months through online customer service.

        • Was there a specific script you followed? I haven't been lucky so far….

          • @bigbadboogieman: Politely ask customer service about port in credit, reiterate that you are a long time Telstra customer, plus a little luck~

  • Good deal on o secure price for next 24 months in case of price increase. :)

    • With their price increases it really makes borderline whether these deals are even worth it, but outside of the deals I can't see how anyone could think telstra is the best option now with a number of providers using (mostly) the same network for a lot better value.

Telstra bolt on extras like the 'telstra plus' and presale tickets etc but it's really just smoke and mirrors.

  • Also i heard that we cannot add international calling pack to the Jbhifi plans -Can anyone confirm ?

    • Correct, can't be added

      • The Jb person told me that this is what they were meant to tell customers however said people could try calling Telstra and if you get an experienced CC person, they should be able to do it. Any one had luck?

  • Is this essentially for a sim only plan? Or does it come with some phone credit as well? It doesn't seem all that worthwhile for a sim only plan.

    • Unlimited calls and texts, no need for phone credit

  • I know the deal is expired but I was able to get $20pm port in credit applied first go.

    • Is it for 24 months automatically? Or do you have to hit them up to manually adjust every month?
