As you may know, Woolies are having 1/2 price sale on Oral-B electric toothbrush range.

So, I went to a local Woolies and grabbed a PROFESSIONAL CARE 500 for $49.95 ($99.95 RRP) to replace my 6-year-old Oral-B electric toothbrush, which wasn't doing a proper job this week.

Until early October, there is a $30 cashback for PROFESSIONAL CARE 500/1000/3000. Here is the URL for the redemption form:

Paid with my WISH gift card for an additional saving of $2.50.

I got a $100 electric brush for $17.45. Yay!

Might be a good idea to grab Precision Clean 5-pack refills as well for $18.49/ea.

      • Just see the Woolies service desk to split purchases - they refund & issue new receipts. Have done that. But there seems to be nothing to stop you submitting separate entries each with photocopy of same (multiple purchases) receipt - just indicate it & explain. Ring their freecall number on the entry form to check.

      • When I called the oral b promotion helpline, the lady said that u can have multiple on a same reciept as long as you fill out a separate redemption form for each.

        • was told of same thing. so just gona sent all claims in a single registered mail.

    • Seems the Professional Care 5000 is the older model, replaced by the 500. The bar code for both must be the same. Woolies have not updated the stock description.

      Not 100% sure, but I just put the four numbers after 'TRANS' on the bottom of my receipt (after STORE xxxx POS xxx TRANS xxxx ——- xxxx dates)

        • i was told the receipt number is of store code+pos code + trans code (8 digits) tho.

  • Anyone feel there will be a problem with the Pro 500 showing up as 50001pk? being interpreted as 5000 but not a triumph and therefore no cashback? That would be annoying..

    • I put a note on my receipt, stating that it was a 500 to avoid confusion.

    • From the discussion above, the Pro 5000 seems to have been replaced by the Pro 500, and the bar codes must be the same. Woolies have not updated their stock description. I think OralB will be aware of the issue by now.

          Are these 10% Rewards for everyone on Everyday Rewards, or just some lucky ones who get the offer at random? I found my card and activated it just to see if I got it too. Shall scan it anyway and see what happens when I get the brush.

        • Don't open the brushes & keep receipt - you could get a refund from Woolies if you don't like the brush. You can return the brush for a refund to Oral-B (up to 180days now)! I returned a used Vitality to Target for a refund to buy this deal!! Wonder what do they do with returned used toothbrushes??

          There probably is method to Woolies offers. I have a few Rewards cards. After a while of not using one, I sometimes get a special offer like 10% off last & this week. If you use them regularly, you probably won't be rewarded as much. So much for loyalty!!

          (The 10% off offer did not need to be activated - a rarity.)

          Having a few cards means missing out on Qantas points, unless you can combine points from several Qantas cards - haven't looked into that yet. You can not link more than 1 Rewards card to the same QFF number.

          Will remember the receipt for the brush! I should have got one when I got the brush heads but didn't think about it.

          Bummer you can't use multiple cards for the QFF. I was just wondering this earlier. Would have been handy.

        • The used brush needs to be posted in original packaging with receipt to Oral-B. Details of 30 day satisfaction return in the details in pack. (Now extended to 180 days)
          I think this brush is great.

          Still exploring those cards…

  • Great deal..Bought one for myself and one for Mrs…I bought both on separate transactions thus got 2 x 4c/litre off vouchers too..saved another $4 in total there..so costing me $18 each..Awesome!!!… Need to start working on cashback now..

    • PC IQ5000 $120 (less $50cb) with 3 heads, 5 cleaning modes, etc until tonight at Target.
      Stock at some stores (Carindale, but not Myers Centre, Brissie).

  • Cash back offer mail was RTS back to me, address was definitley the one used on the claim form: PO BOX 381, Brookvale NSW 2100. Anyone else had trouble? Was probably a Aust Post error.

    • i just sent away my claim to that address yesterday. i hope i don't get it back undelivered.

      • Ive recently sent it off back to that same address, was probably an Aust Post issue. The RTS had Armidale written on it, so not sure what that was all about. Address was definitley the one on the Oral B form. Oral B seem to have a number of PO Boxes for different promos.

      Are you kidding mate? Why would someone give you their receipt when i pretty sure they will be claiming on it too. Go find your receipt.

  • Called Oral B consumer hotline yesterday and they can see all 4 of my claims as approved in the database… Now they are with Citibank for issuing of the prepaid visa card.. So hopefully won't be long before i get the cashback..

  • My cards arrived today. Say you have to activate them before use. Also you can't withdraw cash from the card. Just have to use the full amount.

    • for the $50 cashbacks you can just pull the $50 out of a citibank atm (says so in the t&cs)

    to activate you need to ring 1300 370 544. an alternative national number for mobiles/voip is 02 8225 0111 according to google

  • Just got my card as well, and have received $50 instead of $30.

    Check your balance. (It will read out your balance after activation.)
