LG 55" C1 OLED Smart TV $1995 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ Retravision

250

Just used this deal to price match with VideoPro (I called JB and they will also price match). C1 stock is hard to find, I would recommend ringing your local electronic store to check stock levels and then price match.

    Retravision still exists?

    • Looks like 17 stores in WA, 1 in SA and 1 in NT.

  • Well guess what, my Two months old 65’ tv just shut off while it was in use. Now I have to deal with LG to fix it. Store I bought from would not do anything but escalate to LG. Not sure if it’s a known issue with the tv.

If you brought it brand new then surely that store has to fix it for you. Was it a reputable store? Contact ACCC?

      • Yes, highly reputable. They have escalated to LG and that’s it. Lg needs to send someone to investigate and advice further actions. Lg said they would repair it if it’s doable.

For future reference in case it's needed.

          • @Grunntt: Thank you.

@ariyan82: To what Grunntt linked, specifically:

The retailer who sold you the product or service cannot refuse to help you by sending you to the manufacturer or importer. You can approach the manufacturer or importer directly, however, you will only be entitled to recover costs from them, which include an amount for reduction in the product’s value and in some cases compensation for damages or loss. You cannot demand a repair, replacement or refund from the manufacturer.

              Source: ACCC.

The store's remedy may be to send it back to the manufacturer, which isn't unusual. But they can't refuse to do so on your behalf.

@Cyan9: Just wanted to share the outcome. Lg has agreed to give credit for a new tv or refund. Unfortunately have to upgrade to c2 as c1 is out of stock. Confused what to buy as c2 is really expensive at this stage.

                • @ariyan82: Glad you got some joy out of them, although that’s quite a decision you have to make!

                    @Cyan9: Booked a C2 65” for $3200 :) thank you.

  • It been hard to find non-floor stock in SEQ. Seems I've started TV hunting a month too late

  • $395.51 Ship from WA (TNT Road) Delivery to Sydney
    - guess I won't be ordering this one then.

    • See below and get jb or video pro to price match

Jbhifi will price match. I would recommend going onto the jb websites live chat and sending them the link. They will most likely ask what your post code is so just say that you're in Perth as there is free click and collect options from Retravision in Perth. That way they won't price match it to include the extra $350 delivery fee, but will be $1995 w free click and collect from JB (and can buy gift cards for an extra 2.5%-5% off)

Edit: Go into an incognito tab so they can't see your jb order history and see you're not in Perth

Edit 2: if it is in stock at jb

    • But how do you finalise the purchase if you're outside of Perth?

      • They give you a link to purchase which is just the item prefilled in an order form, shouldn't matter at checkout if you're not in Perth.

    5% Off for RAC members?

I'd honestly wait for the C2 to go for sale again. After seeing the C2 55" go for $2000 like a few days ago this doesn't seem that good of a deal. Just my opinion tho.

    • I think you're probably right on this one. Thinking that this C1 is 2021 stock as well..

    • Yep, this isn't a deal when C2 could be had for ~$2k from multiple retailers just recently. Wait for the next sale.

  • $433.00 delivery for me!!

    • I got quoted $938.47 :)
