  • Can this be used purely for internet overseas?

    • Usually there's only a small separate quota for overseas roaming.

    • Boost Mobile doesn't presently offer roaming, so no.

  • When is Cashrewards supposed to track ?

    • Likewise with mine from early today. I can only hope a tracking email is delayed and arrives overnight. I hate having to remember to follow-up with a query in 7 days. Very rare for tracking to fail but can happen.

    it’s because of deals like this and other similar telco deals that I don’t mind at all paying over $2000 for a phone as long as I get practically free phone network and data.

    Also not having a camera is another reason.

        Been doing it since early 2020. A few times porting activation did not work online and had to ring or live chat to do the port. Otherwise fine

  • Could there be a delay in boost delivering the sim? For example, receving the sim 30 days after ordering?

    • Hey I've got some experience with this, it was supposed to arrive in a few days but ended up taking ~25 days. I activated it on-time and got the cashback. It was sent via AusPost tracked letter (proof of delivery).
      Info for if it arrives late: On day ~23 I contacted Boost for a refund and they refused, they offered for me to buy a $2 SIM and they'd activate it with $30 OR add 50GB to my existing 365 day prepaid service. Considered VISA chargeback but ended up accepting 70GB I begged for negotiated.

          Just try it.
          After first time registering for Perks, the next time you sign up another account (different email) with that same number - it asks if you want to use that same number. Then registers new account.

    • I did when I kept trying to activate it under a different name than the name I ordered it with. It only went through once I just used the same name I ordered with. Give it a try?

      • I've had problems activating on Telstra and Boost for years, always after the address input stage. I used to activate through live chat, and a few years ago I tried to enter another home address which might have worked but I can't remember for certain…

        After I moved house had no issues when activating one Boost sim, so pretty sure it's related to the address.
