Just thought I'd highlight this particular deal as MyProtein have been stingy as of late with allowing any discount on whey protein during their regular sales. Prices have risen noticeably amongst all retailers so its getting harder to find reasonable offers.

Personally I found this a decent deal for 5kgs of Vanilla WPC @ $135.19 with free express delivery worthwhile.

Their WPI works out to be to be $165.09 for 5kgs of Vanilla after discount which may be of preference to some readers; https://au.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/impact-whey-isolat…

Another reason I choose to order from MyProtein is there cost effective oat powder which I add to most of my protein shakes.
So another notable saving is on their unflavoured instant oats which works out to be $24.74 for 5kg after 40% discount (automatically applied) https://au.myprotein.com/sports-nutrition/powdered-oats/1231…

Don't forget ShopBack and CashRewards are both potentially offering cashback on this purchase too.

Bulk Nutrients would always be my first preference but their prices are currently higher so I have been forced to find alternatives.

If this is your first time ordering you may well achieve a better price by using a random referral code which will give you 45% discount rather than their current 35% discount code.

  • How does this brand compare against Bulk Nutrients quality wise? Seems to get good reviews online.

    • +1

I bought a bag following Bulk Nutrients price increase and I found they are basically the same taste-wise, but I think Bulk Nutrients mixes better.

  • their unflavoured instant oats

    wow, 62% carbs

    • Eat enough of that and you won't need to go to the gym at all to get those epic gains.

Seems a bit expensive, I recall being able to get 5kg of wpc from myprotein for <$20/kg a couple of years ago. And similar pricing from bulk nutrients.
Nowadays I buy whatever protein is half price at chemist warehouse - more convenient and seems cheaper than these retailers now.

I used to get 5kg delivered from eBay retailers for $70-$80, but those same products are now $150…

  • +1

$50 for 2.5 KG of unflavoured seems like a good deal.

  • Not sure if it was the bags I got, but I got two of these from the last deal, and they were off.
The expiry dates were close, but the smell and the taste, you could tell that was not good for your body. I binned both bags

  • What is the minimum spend to use the WINTER code?

Bought 5kg a couple weeks back and the best before date was Dec 2022.

Complained, haven't heard back from them after they said its been referred to a team to investigate.

First and probably last time I'll buy from them tbh.

    • Had the same issue, got full refund and they asked me to keep the 5kg pack as a goodwill.

      • Hopefully I get the same resolution, I'll order from them again in the future if so. Cbf sending it back

Did you feel you wouldn't get through the 5kg before the end of the year? Should be possible with one scoop per day.

      • Probably can but I don't want to be sold old stuff when the protein I buy usually has a bb date a year or two away

    • +1

They wanted me to send the unopened 5kg back for a refund. I took a couple of scoop but each scoop gave me diarrhea

Lucky you, the expiry was 08/2022 for my 06/2022 order. Never buy from them again.

      • Just checked my order from the same time, I bought 2 x 5KG WPI Smooth Choc and expiry was 07/2023 and 08/2023

      • Ouch. Was yours WPC too? I mistakenly bought mine thinking it was WPI. Surprisingly it mixes well (probably even better than the unflavored WPI I've been getting from Aminoz).

It's a shame they're selling short expiry, will definitely lose some business through bad feedback etc. but they probably make enough anyway.

        • I don't think they are selling short stock, you seem to be the only person out of all the posters from the last deal.
          I got WPI not WPC

@Jessie Ryder: My order is unrelated to the last deal (don't even know when that was). I had an ad pop up with a deal, picked up 2x2.5kg unflavoured WPC for $110 delivered. I think it was just the 2.5kg I could see on special at the time so maybe they were clearing old stock, no idea.

Anyway, pretty dodgy sending old stuff with no mention of it on the page

  • No whey!

This stuff will put you on the throne lol Total waste.

    Taste like crap

  • I bought 5 kg of pea protein protein from myprotein for $39

    • Despite how horrid pea protein is, 5kg for $39 seems a good price

    • I just checked but can't see such a deal… seems the BIGDADDY code doesn't work for Pea Protein 2.5KG, and they don't have 5KG bag…

      • Just add 2.5 kg of pea protein (chocolate/ strawberry ($39) to the cart. Then add one more to the cart (+1). Apply WINTER code for further 35% off . Use cashrewards for 6% cashback or shopback for 5.5 cashback.

$114.35 for 5kg wpc using code "bigdaddy"

  • Yep, as mentioned avoid this lot as they will sell short dated stock 'on sale' without mentioning it on their product page. Bought 5kg in June with August 2022 expiry, never had a supplier send one out with only 2 months to go. I asked for help and they said they referred the query to someone else to assist me and nothing eventuated after several messages back and forth. Was looking forward to continue buying from them but never again.

    • Perhaps try logging in and using chat, you may find they will be more receptive.

That's what I've done in the past and it's worked out in my favour..

      • Either way I messaged them directly on their own site and several support members said I would get help but they did nothing. I guess luck of the draw here with who you talk to, wish it was more consistent.
It's also really misleading to not mention stock is short dated and mask it as a sale. It's a shame honestly as I don't mind their whey from my first purchase, would've continued buying from them.

        • +1

Agreed, that's poor form on their behalf.

I'm pretty sure they are shipping a container load of their product over from the UK at a time and that's why it's sent from Melbourne express post.

  • Bought 2.5kg unflavoured on sale. Received today. Best before date 11/2022, which is ridiculous. I contacted them via chat, but after initially telling me I had 3 months to eat 100 servings, all they offered was a refund upon return of unopened package. Pretty poor. I'll do the return but the whole thing was a complete waste of time.
As a heads up MyProtein is owned by The Hut Group, which owns a lot of retail fashion and consumer brands in the UK. Feels like a shonky set up.

    • Jump back on line with chat and speak to a different customer service rep, I've had better luck pushing for refunds etc when I've chatted to a more reasonable person
