Saw this deal on my account login, probably Targeted.

  • Open a Westpac Life account online between 18 July 2022 and 31 August 2022.
  • Deposit a total of $500 into your new Life account by 31 August 2022.
  • Receive a $50 deposit into your new Life account by the end of September 2022

Offer is available to selected customers. To be eligible for the $50 offer you must: have a Westpac Choice account (excluding offset accounts linked to a loan), not have held a Westpac Life account in the prior 12 months, and between 18/07/2022 and 31/08/2022 open a new Westpac Life savings account online and make customer-initiated deposits of at least $500 into the Westpac Life account.
If the above criteria are met, you will receive a one-time payment of $50 into your Westpac Life account by 30/09/2022. Your new Life savings account must remain open until the payment is received.

Offer is limited to one eligible account and is not available in conjunction with any other offer. Where a joint account is opened, if one of the joint account holders has already received the offer in respect of another account, then none of the remaining joint account holders will be eligible for the offer in respect of the joint account.         nope i just had a cc, loan and choice account. Saw the banner at the bottom when logged in and clicked on it. 5min later I got the email saying account is active. Transferred 500 over from the choice acc. Now just waiting.

        Thanks. I just saw a banner in app at top of the list of accounts on the default home screen after login on the app (below the big red PAY TRANSFER BOAY buttons). There was no mention of $50 bonus tho.

        Will chk website later.

    Have a Choice account, after logging into the app all I see is a banner on "Drean big, start small" to open my Life account. Not quite sure how to check if I am eligible to receive the bonus

    lol good riddance Westpac, give nothing to current 'wp life' clients and only give 0.80% interest. was giving them the benefit of the doubt to raise their interest but they just don't do it. moving on :)

      I've just done the same, being 30yo, I have opened an account and sent my savings to BOQ. Westpac is first to raise mortgage rates but last to raise savings rates. This is just a trick to get more customers as they are losing millions $$$.

    Got the “banner” for mine when I logged in via the website. No “banner” showing on my app.

    Never had a Life account before.

    FYI, Westpac Life Savings Account has $0 monthly fee.

    Not bad I have a westpac choice cheque account, just to be clear, I could just go into my local branch deposit $500 cash into this new account and wait until later in the year and score and l an extra $50 and then maybe withdraw??

    I wonder, what would happen if I left $0 balance in Westpac Choice account for months or forever, would my balance becomes -$5 every month? And if in future i decided to put money in it would they deduct it?

        Understood, i was referring to one of the requirements: must have Westpac Choice acct which is $5/m. I can do trf in and out 2k/m but then what would happen after that. Dont want to maintain too many accts and never had "paid" bank acct before…

          I have a Westpac choice account (no debit card) set up in 2017 and their CC. I hardly use it and there is no fee. No other products from Westpac.
