Make up for a 3 year old

Hi everybody,

Would like to buy my daughter some gilttery make up to play with for her birthday.
She got some given to her, but managed to use the entire tray.

Her birthday is coming up and I would like to buy something that is cheap and safe to use.

Does anybody have any recommendations that I could buy for her, or what to look for when buying it?

      Creepy ……. OP obviously isn't a parent

      • Looks like they are but just not logically thinking about it unfortunately

Thought Slav must've been out of the penalty box when I first read it.

She's three years old! Were you expecting her to apply glitter in a careful and controlled manner? LOL

    • nope, that's why I want something cheap!

      • Trolls are hungry

      • Cheaper than glitter? Then you can just buy her a single chuppa chup or something.

This is going to end up with a trip to emergency…

    • Wow, lots of flack here, with people questioning if I'm even a parent too.

I'm well aware of her age, so like almost every activity she does, it's done under supervision, in moderate amounts, and for a small period of time.
There's more chance of an emergency visit when she eats with a fork, than when she plays with make up.

I'm sure sitting her in front of an iPad is much safer and better for her, rather than letting her explore something creative with her hands.

This isn't about safety (to me anyway), it's about precedent that you want to encourage a 3yo to normalise make-up. It's too early

And yes I'm a dad to 2 girls who are older than yours

My 13 year old twin daughters have not worn make up yet. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

For some reason I can only think of this.

A range of lip gloss might be more appropriate than real makeup. Just beware tinted lip gloss can stain clothing.

Not specifically for a three y.o. as most will specify it’s for older kids. As long as your child doesn’t have any particular sensitivities it should be fine keeping in mind small parts (they are usually past that at 3).

Sounds like pro advice right there.
