            • @Rated3: Even when you cancel GP it stays active until the end date of your subscription. If it was only a week I would've definitely waited, cheated yourself out of 2yrs.

The codes give you less because Game Pass is a higher tier than Xbox Live and costs more per month so they calculate the price difference between the two and convert it based on the dollar value per month.

When GPU expires your account can be activated with Xbox Live, the cheaper product and Microsoft is still running the promotion where when you buy a month or more of Game Pass Ultimate your existing Xbox Live time is directly converted so you stack the Live Codes then buy one month of game pass ultimate.

              • @Agret: I do feel cheated, though the policy was only if you didn't reveal the code you get a refund. Looks like the price is still the same, the coupon code didn't work for me last night. Guess I should've waited lol.

@Rated3: Look at it another way. You are paying approx. $53-56 a year for GPU as opposed to $192. Granted, not as cheap as $32 a year but, I'd suggest a win nonetheless. My GPU was due to expire Dec-22 but in case Microsoft does follow though on killing Gold as they have suggested, thus ending this conversion/upgrade method, rather than wait till December in hope of grabbing this great offer, I accepted the 90:50 conversion and extended my GPU for $53 a year.

@sinners007: That's true. To be fair I've had it recurring for $15 a month for ages because I was too lazy to change it. So either way I'm at a loss but still cheaper this way.

  • Now just need to wait for them to add keyboard and mouse support to cloud streaming <fingers crossed>

Worked like a charm, bought 9 codes, redeemed 8 of them with the +1 month recurring billing and the last without. payed the $1 (was actually an expired member but It was from over a year ago). Bingo 3 years Game Pass Ultimate.

Saved me a bunch since I had planned to do this with the 12 month codes at some point but this was so much cheaper for a little extra work.

  • I'm still on the Telstra deal until November .. has anyone tried this with a Telstra subscription?

    • +1

You can't do it while you have an active sub or it will be converted at a lower ratio. You can certainly buy the codes now to hold onto until November but not sure how you'd go if one of them comes up as invalid/used, Eneba won't help you months down the track.

  • I am little confused here. When I bought the codes with the link from the Go to Deal. On the page in Eneba it says can be activated in Australia and the vouchers says as region Global. However, when I try to activate that in the microsoft account, it says (United States) against the gift card and when I try to put the credit card detail as part of automatic recurring, it asks me to provide a US address?

Did anyone else have this issue? What is the solution here?

  • Mine expired a week ago, did this on Saturday morning - initially I had trouble with the codes - took 5 tries for the first one to work on the web interface. After several tries for the second one I attempted to input it via the console "redeem codes" and it workjed. Used the rest on the console and they all worked fine from then on.
Used my free $14 credit so it only cost me $1 extra at the end for the upgrade!

    • There's a weird glitch with the website redemption where sometimes it gives an error saying the code is invalid but if you refresh your profile page you can see the code redeemed okay as your expiration date gets extended.

  • It would seem the discount code has ended.

    • It doesn't give as much off but GGDEALS3 still works.

  • The irony is thay even though the code has mostly stopped working, the deal is now cheaper due to the reduce prices on the xbox live. With wangasm's 3% off code, it's now $30.97 for a year.

    • I had 8 codes in my cart for $43 earlier today, but they bumped up the price and reposted the deal with a new code.
Just a cheeky 50% markup lol

The prices change throughout the day, as eneba has different sellers.

I doubt you had 8 codes at $43 (perhaps USD?). The cheapest they got to yesterday was $7.32 each, so approx $58 for 8 codes (plus service fee less the discount).

Right now, the original deal (which was $31.49) costs $29.38. It's actually the cheapest it's been. That price will change as the day progresses.

        • You are indeed right!

Unsure why it changed to USD when browsing fml

  • The GoldAUS code is not working for me on eneba.com

    • Rep has added a new code to the post

      • ah well, I proceeded ahead with 9 x 3-month passes using GGDEALS3 for a small discount

  • I'm moving to the UK in a few months time. If I sign up to this now in Australia, will I still have full access in the UK?

  • Had issues when trying to pay with card details but did go through when using PayPal, these is at the redeem stage, had no issues with buying the codes in the 1st place

  • Bought 4x Live gold amounting to one year and got it converted to Game pass ultimate on a 1:1 ratio when opted in for the $1 trial. So the so called hack still works. Thanks to Microsoft for that.

    • Would be 1year 4months(1 month for each activation & cancel of auto renew when redeeming the codes) + 1month from $1 trial I think so 1year 5 months.

      • I suspect ninohax skipped the auto renew step so missed the extra 4 months.

        • oops didn't know that was even a thing. What exactly was that step btw? Was I supposed to setup auto renew for the Live gold after each redemption?

PSA: Conversion trick still working on expired GPU subs as of 02/08/2022. Just activated 36 months for $70.31 using this original deal.

I had to wait 24 hours to trigger the conversion from Gold to GPU due to a Xbox bug throwing a generic "try again later error".

$1.95 per month is a fantastic deal!
