    Also matching battlefield too

    Still $5 too much

  • I hear battlefield 2042 is good now. True?

    • -1

I forgot the game even existed. I haven't heard any new changes or fixes for the game. I doubt you want to play it considering the player population is so low.

      • You're right. Plus I don't even play the games I've got.

    • +1

It's better however there are not enough players anymore. So no point getting it

Back 4 Blood for 5 bucks at EB worth it for a bit of fun.

    • +1

Ridiculous that a game on PS5 is $5. Bonkers

      • This is what it's like to be a PC gamer.

Plenty of AAA games get to $5 if you just wait a bit.

Except some go to $0 on Epic too.

  • I’m tempted for Pokémon, but…

I’ve recently played Let’s Go (originally played gen 1-3 than stopped) and I’m thinking I’d prefer to just wait till Violet/Scarlet.

In saying that, will this be the sort of thing that appreciates over time?

    • +1

Do you mean like the value on resale market?

      • Not so much to buy and resell… but wondering if it’s worth buying (to play) and keeping in my collection.

I’m thinking not because, while it’s cheap, there are other switch games I want first.

    • -4

Let's go was a baby game for babies though. Arceus could be worth grabbing while you wait.

    • Won’t appreciate since Pokemon games are mass produced so there’s a lot of constant supply.

      • Depends on the game. Sword and Shield are still available, but still $80 each. Zelda BOTW is still $90. Resale market fetches $40-60 for those titles pretty regularly as used.

        • Yup, not disagreeing.

From $39, yes potentially ones could sell at $40-50 second hand for Switch Pokemon games right now. Though I have struggled selling my second hand Switch Pokemon games at $50.

What I meant by not appreciating overtime is: some games e.g. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 or some Shin Megami Tensei games - since they were limited prints, their second hand prices have gone up, higher than when the games were still brand new and full price.

          • @tajid: Maybe not appreciate when the platform is current, but surely its quite significant later on?

As mass-produced as pokemon games are, seeing the asking prices of boxed copies of Orginal gen 4, B&W, etc. seems not a whole lot of physical copies sold get looked after.

Enduring wide appeal of pokemon also means loads more buyers for your pristine game later. Especially ones who get mega into it later.

More obscure limited print JRPGs for example can be priced higher but who knows how many months you'd have to leave it up to market to get even one interested buyer who doesn't have it already.

My DS black/white2/pearl are all worth around $100-150ish now. So you'd be waiting 15-20 years most likely. Well at least until a few years after these stop becoming available to buy new.

      • No way its more than 10 years old right? Looks up

        Oh god, I'm old

  • I'll take spinderman for $15

  • Merged from Battlefield 2042 - PlayStation 5 $5 + Delivery ($0 with Prime/ $39 Spend) at Amazon AU

92% off. Question is, even at this price, is it worth it?

    • Price matching EBGames. Definitely worth it unless you are a CoD fanboi.

      • Heh, you'd think Battlefield fanbois would be more interested in it than CoD players

        • Have you actually played it?

          • @ca6leguy: No, not interested in it at all. I was just making a joke about your comment.
Unless it was intentional that you put CoD fanboi for a Battlefield game?

It's been $10-19 for months so another fake discount to get more suckers to play with bots and beta test for Dice

      • +4

        Fake… Discount?

It's cheaper than it was. Making it a discount.

        • +1

Amazon quoting RRP when it's been regularly selling for $10-19 is pretty misleading I should have said

          • +2

@solidussnake: They're quoting the discount from RRP. Which is factual.

Plus.. Every single retailer does this.

            It's still a discount.

I'm still not buying it too hahaha.

If it had single player I would.

            • +1

@Dvbargain: I mean, $0-5 sounds about right for games that have no single player campaign.

They are only playable for a short time, and no gaurantee of how long that will be.

Especially the ones that have cosmetic or pay-to-win purchases on top…

              • @GandalfTheCheap: I wouldn't say a game like Fortnite, Counterstrike or Valorant you can only play for a short period of time, but I get what you're getting at.

    • For $5, I'd say so.

It's by no means anywhere near as enjoyable as any of the previous Battlefield games, but if you and a mate grab it, it's good for a laugh or two.

    • Game has improved a lot the past couple months ,

    • Holy shit…the cost to print the disk, the case and deliver it all to you would cost more than $5

XSX at the same Battlefield 2042 - Xbox Series X https://amzn.asia/d/0MgBXZc

  • Pokémon pearl and diamond are the same game 100% correct? The only difference is the exclusive Pokémon to catch but apart that the game is 100% the same?
