Musashi 100% Whey Protein Chocolate or Vanilla 2 kg $52.79 (Normally $87) Delivered ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Chemist Warehouse

950

There are possibly better protein powders out there, but Musashi is cheap and made in New Zealand. Normal Woolworths price $40 for 900g and currently on sale for $30 and this is the slightly higher quality '100%' product instead of 'high protein".

Its a protein supplement, its for if you are unable to meet your daily protein intake goals for the day or to make it easier to meet your protein intake goals. Protein helps build and maintain muscle. You can take it whenever you want.

    • It's not a magic powder. It's just a convenient way to get more protein in your diet.

High protein diet is important for building muscle, but you by no means need these shakes to do it.

As for weight loss. total calorie consumption is much more important then the specific foods. Protein is very satiating so it can be used to keep you fuller and potentially skip a meal.

I stop taking protein powder ever since when I read that it can’t be replaced with meals. Waste of time & money. It’s exactly what it is, It’s a supplement, it doesn’t make a huge difference in “building” instead the real deal by eating rich foods or making your own shake.

    • "it can’t be replaced with meals" - What do you mean by this?
Your body doesn't care what the source of the protein is. Meat, plant, whey or amino, it will still get a benefit from them all.
Yes, it is a supplement and isn't intended to replace meals but it can if that is what your requirement is. If for example, you require 200-250g of protein per day, that can be a lot of meat to consume where 1 or two scoops of protein to replace one or two meals can be much more convenient.

  • Ingredients
Musashi 100% Whey Protein Blend (92%) [Whey Protein Concentrate, Whey Protein Isolate, Emulsifiers (Soy Lecithin, Sunflower Lecithin)], Cocoa Powder, Flavour, Vegetable Gum (Guar Gum), Enzyme (Papain), Sweetener (Sucralose).

I found the same deal from Chemist Warehouse on eBay, but could use AFTERPAY10 to get 10 AUD further off there, making a total of 42.79 AUD for 2kg (21.395 AUD/kg)

Haven't looked too much but it's almost like if you had 1.5 scoops of the normal stuff you would get to the same outcome

It's worth the extra $3 for the 100% whey instead of 'high protein. 74% protein vs 66%

  • I am torn , this https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/324799295129 or this https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/91354/musashi-high-p… !! , never had bought in my life . Experienced comrades , please guide

  • Thanks OP.
Went for vanilla because it has higher protein and lower sat fat, sodium and sugar than chocolate. :)

Others probably use a proper shaker ball, but i am used to mixing protein with a spoon - easiest way for me to do it as i hate cleaning the entire bottle.
Other brands don't leave clumps, this one does so i have to stir much more / live with the clumps.
Still not complaining because I got it at a comparably good price, and i'm happy with the macros

  • Thanks fam.
    Grabbed:
    • 2x 100% Whey 2kg Chocolate
    • ~60x bars.

The new coconut/chocolate crispy bars are pretty damn decent for taste. Macros are so-so.

  • Thanks mate I got the 2kg mustashi tub vanilla from eBay for 42 bux. Used to optimal nutrition hope this doesn’t taste like shit

  • i got a tub and realised its more for muscle growth and recovery! can i use this more like and snack/meal replacement? im not a gym weights guy or only very very light weight with cardio.

    • Yep this stuff isn't rocket science, it's just a protein drink.

      Go to the gym fatty

  • Ordered two through their eBay store and only received one, how dodgy!

Whats worse is they have the same tracking for both items so its going to be impossible to prove that I didn't receive it :(

Anyone else had the same or similar issue?

  • I still haven't received the item, Showing as processing on Wesite. Anyone else had same issue?
