  • Does the bezel lume up?

    • +1

      no.

    • What?

The pip/dot/pearl has lume. The purpose of a dive watch is to count down the hour hand until it aligns with the indicator on the bezel to show the time has elapsed. The basic design assumes low light, so the second hand movement must be obvious to show the watch is working. Its all in the ISO 6425 standard for dive watches https://www.iso.org/standard/66517.html .

      • some seiko tunas have a partially-lumed bezel (usually, those are the ones with numbers on the bezel); i think this was what the question was about.

        • Sorry prob poorly worded but yep this ^

@inamberclad: i have that one, lume on bezel only goes to 20 but love it nonetheless. there are some steeldive tuna homages that have a full lumed dial but they're auto, not solar.

$600 rrp but cant give leather band? Whats good about it then

    • +1

You wouldn't dive in salty water with a leather band.

  • The gray/black colour variant is going for $279 here: https://www.watchdepot.com.au/seiko-prospex-street-series-sn…

Looks like this watch is going for the below $300 range in a lot of places.

    • $20 off first purchase too

  • Strong Watch name to OP's name 10/10
