This book is an in-depth and activity-based introduction to Python programming. It follows a unique approach by combining the theory of the language with the hands-on coding exercises. It will start from the absolute zero point, from ‘Hello World!’, and will cover all of the fundamental concepts. You will learn and practice all the basics of Python programming in this book.

Here is what you will find in this book:
Theory: In each topic, we will cover all the Theoretical Details with example coding.
True/False (42 questions): We will have True/False questions at the end of the sub-topics.
Coding Exercises (120 questions): At the end of each chapter, we will have Coding Exercise, Quizzes, of 10 questions.
Projects (3): We will have 3 Projects in this book. You will learn how to apply Python concepts on real world problems.
Assignments (3): After each project, you will have an Assignment. These assignments will let you build the project from scratch on your own.
Final Exam: At the end of this book you will have the Final Exam. It is a multiple choice exam with 20 questions and a limited duration. The exam will let you to test your Python level.

By the end of this book, you will learn almost all the fundamental concepts in Python in great detail.

I advertised a python for sale in the paper
a man rang up and said “What size is it?”
      I replied “It’s quite big”
      “How many feet?” he asked,
      “None, it’s a snake…”

Would be a good exercise to create a python script which posts all snake jokes

  • I'm here for the comments.

  • Has anyone become a proficient programmer/developer from only ebooks/Udemy and YouTube?

I.e your a freelancer or work for big tech without having attended/completed tertiary studies related to CSI or software eng

Best way to learn is to solve real world problems on the job and seems that the best developers in the world are the ones that know how to use google. I have a CS degree but work in a different field now, however, all my qualifications did for me was get me an interview and my first job as a software engineer, imo, SE jobs do not require a 4y uni degree!

      • Yeah I thought so, same could be said about most engineering degrees

Not exactly, but I have created various smaller programs that I have used across two work places.

    • Heard my friends and others on YouTube recommend freecodecamp and the Odin project. If you google it many YouTubers talk about them too. Best free courses available for people who can self learn

  • Fangs for this…

  • I like the 'CS50's Introduction to Programming with Python' course (videos and coursework) for learning Python/computer science…
