Southern Star Kids Bicycle Helmets (48-52cm) $0.50 at Kmart

291

I came across this arvo. Pretty sweet deal.

Looks okay for kids just starting to ride. Size is 48-52cm, which is roughly a size down from adult's small —> http://girohelmetsreviews.com/photo/giro_helmet_sizing.jpg Measure your head's circumference at forehead.

P.S. There was still about 8 when I was there (Toowong Qld).

Don't forget, you'll also earn half a flybuys point.

  • These should stock up in my van well

  • Checked in Broadway Kmart in Sydney. they all are for 9 and 12. Scanned the same thing, Asked a girl there. They know nothing

  • All gone as of this morning but what a great post! It's one off deals like these that make OzBargain edgey :)

PS - re the comment "I wouldn't trust this cheap rubbish with my kids" all helmets in Australia comply with a minmum standard. I've paid $$$ for helmets which barley comply. These helmets would be fine for toddlers cos seriously how fast are they going to go!

  • Thanks OP bought the last one at Toowong.

  • Slightly off topic:

I was after the Aus standard label coz you need an "approved" helmet to ride in CA events. Not sure if they'd check but my Giro Aeon was bought overseas — obviously lacking the sticker… came across it on several oz forums regarding helmets bought from the UK/US.

If you want the helmet (the 50c one) let me know and you can have it, sans the sticker. So of course it can't be used for cycling but rather for stuff using it as a plant pot or something…
