Asus Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB DUAL Video Card $599 + Delivery ($0 C&C) @ Umart (Limited availability^^)

1320

^^ Sold out at most Umart stores including "Post", but you can change store location to SA/VIC and the selected store can post.
^^ JW Computers has these cards slightly cheaper anyway, $585 with this deal.

My first post, was looking up some GPU's for my first build and found this deal at Umart. Personally haven't seen the RX 6700 XT for less than $599, so it seems like a decent price.

"Hotdeal Ends in 5 Days or While Stock Lasts!" - I think it ends this Sunday, 31 July 2022.

Delivery: $11 Standard, Express $22

This is the price for ex mining card on ebay.

With 6600XT being $349 to $399 range as seen on here, this has no business being $599

    • +14

Have to agree there, though it's as good as it gets at the moment. Those $350 6600XT are just amazing value by current standards.

Considering the MSI 6800 XT gaming X was $799 and there is still a 6750xt and 6800 in between, $599 is reasonable. Im spewing i missed that deal. Ill keep using my strix 1070ti until that deal comes along again.

      • +1

        Gaming Z not X :)

        • silica, copper, pcb

The rest can be called whatever the marketing teams like

      • -1

When next gen launches you will be able to get either a RX7700XT for $799 or a 6800XT for less
The RX7700XT is supposed to be as fast as a RX6900XT but with twice the Ray tracing performance

    • +2

That's outstanding sale pricing and beats the $300 hd 7970 OC edition i got in 2013!

    • While the performance gap isn't that big for an extra $250, you won't get bottlenecked pci-e 3.0 bandwidth unlike the 6600XT. Although, not many games are affected by this… the worst being Doom Eternal which can lose significant performance with ultra textures. But that doesn't bode well if you plan to keep the GPU for a long time.

      • +1

Not sure why my comment would get downvoted. If I was buying the 6600 XT I would like to know it was limited to pci-e 3.0 x8. It's not exactly advertised unless you dig into the often obfuscated specs or check a review. You will not get the full performance of the card if you don't have a pci-e 4.0 motherboard. The 6700 XT does not have this problem. There is cost cutting with all RNDA2 cards below the 6700 XT.

    • "6600XT being $349 to $399" where i need one? link me

  • +1

I'll hold on to my rx 6600 xt until further notice

    • You just bought it for $399? XD

      • +2

He just bought it for $349 delivered. Meanwhile eBay secondhand buyers paying brand new pricing for old used and abused cards lol

  • +1

    decent price

    wrong timing

  • +3

think we are hitting the stopping point soon for low-mid range prices

  • +5

Gigabyte 6700XT Gaming OC was $569.05 Delivered on eBay (including 5% discount) about a month ago. So 6700XT should be around $550 now to be a reasonable deal.

  • +3

Same price as the RTX 3060-12GB, the AMD card has the same 192 bit bus width, but +30% Gaming performance. This AMD GPU is much better at gaming & the NVIDIA option is much better a video encoding.

    $450 and I'll bite

Yeah I got the $349 6600xt. Upgraded from an 8 year old GTX 970 and honestly meh. Even got stutter in some of my games (amd released a new driver yesterday, the older ones seems ok). But regardless fps in my games is closer to a 1070ti than 1080ti

I even only get 2700 score in Heaven Benchmark (GTX 970 got 1600). I had a GTX 1080 in 2020 that scored over 3k in heaven. I also get lower fps on high settings than I did on low with the 970. So it's the ultimate disappointment so far (but I've only had it for 1 day).

      • okay, I revise it to $400

        • -4

Starting to think it's been heavily overrated (people generally do that with left field products). Stutters on Hell Let Loose. On PUBG with the gtx 970 I get 120-140fps (1440p res, ultra aa, everything else lowest setting.

Installed the 6600xt & turned all the settings up to high (not ultra) and it's 90-110fps. Like wtf. Don't trust anyone bragging about AMD, 6600xt is not a 1080ti.

          • +1

@Jimmy77: PUBG is still a buggy unoptimised mess so no idea what's going on there, maybe try DX11. Hell let loose try windowed mode as that can sometimes help with stutter.

I think your expectations are way too high mate. You bought a mid-range $349 card that's usually only a couple fps slower (or faster depending on the game) than a 1080 Ti.

            • @Ryballs: Cheers after further research it turns out the card is bad for most DX11 games. It excels in DX12 which is why it punches above it's weight in youtube reviewer videos. Most of the games they bench are all the same. (Hitman 2/3/9, rdr2, cp2077, witcher 3, assassin creed, watchdog legion).

So effectively all reviewers use the same 20-50 games when conducting their reviews. Userbenchmark is more accurate when you remove the games I mentioned in brackets above out of their averages.

These were $520 on umart about 2 months ago, i purchased 2. One of which i got for $490 when they had there $30 off Klarna deal. Not sure makes any difference but was the o.c model also.

    • +7

      6600XT or 6700XT ? .. i dont remember any $520 6700XT deals on here

      • +3

Also wasn't on here, i just seen them and grabbed them. At the time i don't think i was signed up to post. Definitely the 6700xt Asus dual o.c it was only for like 2 days, It was the last Klarna sale. i purchased them both 27/05 this year from the Croydon store s.a, just logged in to double check.

        • +1

        Funny i still have my 2500k i5 is i5 :D my theory

        • +1

Such a good value for money cpu for how long its lasted and the performance stayed in there. Only recently got rid of mine.

        • I noticed a big difference in gaming upgrading from my OCed 2500K to R5 3600 even when I was still running a 1060 3GB. I think it's time, given you can get a 5600 non-X, B550 and decent DDR4 for less than $500 (probably way less if you're not precious about a good MB)

    • GTX760 user here! will upgrade after final exams in uni late november to reward myself

      • +3

no need to upgrade solider…. u wont have time to game once u start working.

        • nah… can do… full-time working, full-time uni studying… fit a kid, netflix and rare play in between…. you have 24 hours a day! live it all! :)

  • this or a 1080ti?

  • +2

Looks like Umart didn't clear enough stock from their last, identical deal.

  • +2

Whoa this is still available? too many idiots busy paying brand new pricing on ebay for old stuff to see these brand new cards for the same price they pay on ebay lol

    • +1

idiots busy paying brand new pricing on ebay for old stuff

Basically life story of eBay buyers.

      • So true… I'd previously put a low bid on a pre-owned 6700xt which eventually sold for $720! Poor guy.

  • +2

Nice find. You can get some really good efficiency mining about 46mh on Eth at the moment. At around 80watts.

  • why are the prices go so low? is there new cards coming out soon and they wanna get rid of old stocked cards? I have a 6600 XT I have had over a year now so its time for an upgrade just don't want to upgrade to another old card I want to upgrade to a new released one.

    • Mining not profitable anymore, too much GPU stock to meet smaller demand, saturated 2nd hand market (from miners getting rid of their cards), new GPUs on the horizon. Basically a perfect storm for GPUs to go rock bottom in price. I'd keep waiting a couple more months.

    • More like, this should’ve been the normal price all along. In the end it’s only to play a few games, nothing important

  • +3

still not sold out, more reasons to hold
