    This holder is more expensive than the bits I'd put in it… any cheaper alternatives? :)

      If you had a 3D printer you could print the blue part and stick magnetic tape to it.

      Sure. But what ticks me off about the bits is when the fckrs end up all through your draw. This stops that. The base also attaches to magnetic surfaces

    Is it really a good idea to leave your bits exposed.

      Depends on the size and location.

      Larger bits in warmer climate are probably ok, as long as the audience is mature and welcoming

    • All my exposed bits (legit/intended expression) eventual rust. Whereas the one in a case don't, if that helps…

    That sounds like a lot of money for a piece of plastic with holes in it.
