The sensitivity of the RATs is getting less with the new COVID variants.

  • Nooooo… No more. I've got way too many. They keep getting handed to us for free. I can't even give them away as everyone I know has also got a large pile of them. Good to see our taxpayer money going to good causes.

I took three Rapid Antigen Tests, as my wife was positive.
First after her positive result, second the next day, the third the day after that. All negative.
I also did a PCR on the third day.
      PCR was positive.

Not sure I would trust a negative RAT result going forward.

      • happened to me, one day got home and i was stuffed
        Took a RAT, Neg result
        Took another Positive
Took another, Neg, hahaha by this time it drove me crazy, just i just went and got a PCR Test, Positive result, and results were only a few hours

  • the dump begins

  • 30% accuracy on the latest variants though, so don't expect a negative to mean you're truly negative.

Based on a sample of bloodtests 46% of Australians have now had Covid-19, up from 26% (also based on blood tests) back in April.

Unfortunately depending on where you live, PCR tests are difficult to get (in my case it would be an hour and a half drive to the nearest PCR test, as our local health service operating our local hopsitals stopped offering them at the start of this year).

  • The price rorting on these RATs is over, they should retail for under $2.

  • I m gonna test water here. For those who cares, this is manufactured in China.

  • Cheaper on Amazon- have gotten Clugene for $3.05 each. Current price for Clugene on Amazon is $3.80 each.

  • Hi OP, both JusChek TGA websites listed are for the nasal swab, FYI.
