Assassins Creed 3: Join or Die Edition Pre-Order $82 PC, $88 PS3/XBOX360 @ Harvey Norman

20

Sounds like a good deal to me. For (at the time of writing) $2 cheaper than Zavvi, and $7 more than Ozgameshop, you can pre-order Assassins Creed 3: Join Or Die Edition, and score it on release day with Aust stock.

For Comparison on the XBOX/PS3:

Zavvi - PS3/Xbox 56.85 pound = $90.06 http://www.zavvi.com/games/platforms/ps3/assassin-s-creed-3-…

Ozgameshop - PS3/Xbox $80.99 http://www.ozgameshop.com/ps3-games/assassins-creed-iii-3-jo…

Mighty Ape - $79.99 + $4.90 delivery = $84.89 http://www.mightyape.com.au/product/PS3/Assassins-Creed-III-…

    • Where did you get $24 from?
      I see $57.99

I think he meant cheaper by $24.
        $58 + $24 = $82

        • Oh, of course!
(shakes head) I'm going to bed…

        • Join or Die Edition.

        • Yes I did sorry, I wrote it at about 2am lol

It's not much cheaper for the (superior - this isn't a game to be played on PC) console versions.

What's wrong with playing it on PC? I haven't played my consoles since I got my PC nearly 2 years ago.

Usually the XBOX/PS3 version is only $10 more on Ozgameshop. Don't know why it is so much more this time.

    • You forgot to add the over priced postage of $5.50..

Mate, if you could ship anything from New Zealand to Australia for less than $5.50 you would be doing well.

  • ppl have learnt nothing from the game debarcle…stop pre ordering games…(nothing to do wih going into administration, more about being baited by these companies at rip off prices is stupid)

    • Generally I don't understand pre-ordering ages in advance (unless it's some super limited item). Very rarely are you going to walk into a store that sells games and they will be out of stock on release day. However, I have noticed that some companies offer cheaper prices on games when you pre-order them a few months in advance. E.g. I pre-ordered BF3 from Ozgameshop two or three months before it came out for $45. On release day it was $10 - $15 more than what I paid.

      • Depends on whether you want a special edition or not. Those will often sell out.

    • If you don't pre order you run the risk of missing out, simple

    • Preorder prices can be good. It's not a huge issue if you don't make the pre order with a company that is on the verge on bankruptcy. If you feel the price is a ripoff, don't put down a deposit.

  • so revelations and brotherhood werent true sequels?. they keep milking this franchise for all it's worth

    • Nope. They were more expansions than sequels. I loved AC2, sort of enjoyed Brotherhood but haven't been bothered with Revelations yet. I'm just tired of the series at the moment. I will pick up Revelations when I can get it under $20 and AC3 next year some time when it's cheaper. I just hope Ubisoft just leaves this franchise alone for a little while to let us all get our breath back and long for it again.

      • Assassins Creed Revelations is currently part of the two for 25 pound deals at Zavvi. 25 pound = AUD$39.61, so there's your copy for $19.80. :)

Thanks, AlanHB. Though you forgot to add in the £0.99 for shipping so it brings it up to $20.58AUD :P
In saying that, there is nothing else in that promo that really appeals to me anyway!

        • No worries dude. Revelations isn't as good as Brotherhood, so it's ok to wait :)
