  • Will Air3 Deluxe be available any time soon? cheers

    • +1

yes, is on the way now, maybe more 20 days about

      • Difference with the Air3?

    • Is that better than mini pro & Air 3 pro?

      • not sure if it's better than those two you mentioned. it's just a newer/updated version of Air3 i believe.

  • +7

    5,319 ratings

Another recycled listing as the review pictures do not match the current product.

    • +2

Still the Air3 are pretty decent. No complaints from me.

  • How are the soundpeats mini? (Non pro)

  • +3

I have these. They're pretty good. My main frustration is that the case is round and slippery, and cannot be stood upright on a desk. Taking the buds out or putting them back in while having to hold the case lid open is clumsy work.

    • +3

Ditto. Surprised on how good the sound and bass on this. Previously bought haylou GT1 and its sound quality is poor. The downside of this soundpeat case design is the magnet in the casing is quite strong but there is less area to grip the earpiece to remove them. And it is slippery. Most of the time I will drop it if not being careful during removal.

      • +3

Air3 sound is slightly better than TrueAir2 (the model it replaced). I have both and I tend to reach for the TrueAir2 more often due to the case design. It's a bit difficult to take the Air3 earpieces from the case, and I dropped them quite a few times. I quite often rubbed the touch control - meaning the volume or playback were messed up.
Also I feel like the TrueAir2 stay in my ears better.

        • +2

Interesting. I was thinking of upgrading from the TrueAir2 as the lid on my case is broken. Maybe I'll just hold on for a while until they stop working.

        • +2

Also I feel like the TrueAir2 stay in my ears better.

Same , air3 I have to put it a bit harder in and air3 I have to disable in-ear detection by the app.

    • +1

thanks for your feedback, I will pass it to our product development department, will do better step by step

      • +1

No problem, happy you listen to feedback.
I really like them otherwise, and they are comfortable to wear for extended periods (I can't wear in-ear earbuds for long).

  • Just to add 30% off for SoundPEATS Truengine 3 SE Wireless ~$47 (from $67)
    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B08B4C5S8S/ref=ppx_yo_d…

    • It works on a lot of their earphones. The True Engine 3 SE has lower ratings than a lot of the other ones with a similar design and the prices are about the same, wouldn't one of the others be superior going off the reviews?

      • A lot of reviews are going by the full price. I had a look and in atleast 2 guys actually said that 3 se are better but more expensive. Anyway, I guess for the full price they might be not that great compare to some alternatives but at $50 they should be OK.

Anyway, my pair should be delivered today… Will post 1st impressions

        • I got the Free 2 for $25, 1/10th the price of airpods 3rd gen
Now that's a bargain, an OzBargain.

        • What do you think of them? Tossing up between these and the Sonics.

          • +1

@Sambuca: Only used them for few hours here and there, so far no real complains. couple of comments:
            - equalizer software is a mess, better of just going by ear when setting it up (collaboration software give minimum bass, presets go over the top with the bass)
            - weight distribution is a bit funny, they are heavier then my old once and really need to be jammed in the ear.

had 0 issues setting up, battery seems to be as per specs. They look fine.

In general very happy with the product.

  • I have SoundPEATS T2 Hybrid for about a year now. Initially it was perfect, but I notice from last month, the speaker keeps on dropping after around 30 mins of use. I need to restart it. Anyone with the same model having the same issue or is it mine?

  • +1

    Based on the reviews
    https://nerdtechy.com/soundpeats-air3-pro-review

They recommend SoundPEATS Mini Pro for better calls.
    https://www.amazon.com.au/SoundPEATS-Cancelling-Headphones-T…
    $53.89 after 30% discount.

    • Bought a mini pro because of you. Cheers mate!

I own the Air3's. Incredible quality for the price, if you don't want in-ear earbuds. The case is a little tricky to handle (my fat fingers have dropped the earbuds countless times when the phone rings and I rush to get them out of the case) … but well worth the $42.

  • +1

Have had these for 6months now. Really impressed. You won't find better audio on earbuds of this type for under $50.

Agree with what was said above about the case. It is way too slippery.

Another negative is that it doesn't seem to auto connect when using more than 2 different devices. I always have to manually connect each time I switch between my PC and android phone.

    • +1

I had some issues with that too.

One thing to be very mindful of as well: if you use this with a pc, you will not get good sound quality by default because Windows treats it as telephony device, and decreases the bandwidth used for audio to free up bandwidth for the microphone. So if you listen to music, it will sound badly. I used instructions from this site to address that:

      https://superuser.com/questions/724018/bad-sound-through-blu…

You may end up having to re-pair, and if you make this change, the mic won't work (though I use the Webcam's mic for teleconference, which ends up more clear anyway as it is in front of me).

      • Thanks. Was wondering why the quality was so crap

        • Not for why windows doesn't make this easier or more obvious. Or just automatic.

  • +1

Does anyone know if these (or which) would be good for calls in noisy outdoor areas (to minimize background noise transmitted through the mic)

    • +1

I have found these to be decent for that - wore them today while on the phone and the other person didnt her the leaf blower 10 metres from me + have used while walking next to a busy street and they asked if I had left my house yet

Has the deal expired? Getting "The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase. "

Nope - click the link then on the product page click apply voucher I think it is - then go to checkout and its $41.99

  • Same for me .. looks like the promotion has expired

Try the tozo. I recently switched to it.

I have around 5 different pairs of soundpeats. Annoying thing is that once the case runs out of battery, which happens quite often if u don't charge regularly, the buds connect to the phone. Even their air 3 pro has this problem which they have mentioned on their products description as well.

Not sure why soundpeats is not fixing this annoying thing. Other earbuds have fixed this issue

I have to say soundpeats customer service is really good

    • Recent batches have a battery indicator on the case - green or yellow. So I know that I have to charge it when it's yellow. But agree it's very annoying.

    • Yes - it's a ridiculous issue they haven't fixed, with the buds automatically connecting to the phone when the case battery goes flat. It's as bad as the Taotronics earbuds that connect to the phone as soon as you open the case (whilst the earbuds have yet to be removed).

  • What about TruEngine 3 SE latest version? Are any specials on that? I am waiting for them.

  • +1

I have the truefree2 as I wanted a gym set but find no matter the fins/ear size combo they don't sit well in the ear, they don't fall out but loose the seal of the inter ear and the sense it will pop out.

Anyone else have this issue and can recommend alternatives?

  • I literally just bought and returned the Sennheiserscx plus and LG tone free fp9a because the bass of these was better !! I couldn' fkn believe it, but true…and those are 5 to 6x times the price..these are great for the $. Totally pissed off about the waste of my time researching and buying two pairs and having to return them (via Amazon which was good tho) for useless bass especially as the Sennheisers and LGcs got such good reviews ?!

  • I dislike that the Soundpeats Android app requires an account to be created and I really dislike that it requires location permission. What possible justification could Soundpeats have for needing to know my location just to let me control my earphones!

  • Does anyone have the Air3 Pro, and can confirm if in ear detection works?

The manual says it has it. And it is "Auto: Take off either earbud to pause music" And "Take off both earbuds to transfer the call to the phone
    during a call".

But neither of these work for me. I tried resetting them, and updating the firmware. No options I can see in the manual or the app to turn in ear detection on or off. Based on various comments the Air3 has the ability to turn it on and off in the app. The Air3 and Air3 Deluxe both mention in ear detection.

Notably the Amazon ad does not specifically say it has in ear detection - which is why I checked the manual. None of the reviews I looked at noted the Air3 Pro having, or not having, in ear detection.
