Says not valid with coupon unless stated. Does this mean you can use the coupons on the landing page? The coupons on the item page like PLJL15? I assume won't work with the monthly $5 off since that's specific to account but should it work with the others that are stated publicly?

    • Any promo codes will result in $0.00 cashback tracked (and yes that includes the codes from the monthly $5 voucher and seller specific too since it act as a “promo code” at checkout)

Only gift cards work as stated by OP

    • +1

No, the code needs to be listed on ShopBack promo tab for codes to be eligible. There are currently 0 codes on ShopBack.

    • eBay probably pulled codes to stop double dipping.

      • +4

They also don't seem to even issue the monthly $5 plus codes at all even though you paid for the service

        • -3

          they do

          • +3

@javawoo: Huge amount of people reporting missing coupons and long struggle with CS to try get them issued https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/12427224/redir

            • +4

@chyawala: Don't think I've even had it a single time on my main account (had plenty of min spend $50 ones just not the $15 ones). My other account that I recently signed up to eBay Plus got it in the first month though ($5 off $15 min spend).

        • +4

They are Bloody slack with these, may get them 10-15 days into the month and not every month.

Wouldn't sign up for eBay again unless you get the $40-49 voucher for $50 or something.

        • Correct - they do not provide these vouchers.
That's why I never bothered with Plus agin - until they offered the cashback, which I had to chase down.

        • I complained to their chat support for 3 months of missing coupons in a row.

After 3 weeks they issued 1 lol, totally useless

        • I've had the same issue. Messaged CS to have them say if I don't get it by the end of the month to message them again and they'll put it through straight away. Going to message them tomorrow.

    Thanks OP

anyone knows can IKEA giftcard be used in IKEA restaurant?

    • +2

Ikea "restaurant", I didn't realise it got the title of restaurant these days.

      • +5

Well if Macca's can be called a restaurant..

      • +1

        what is it then, canteen

        • +1

          Bistro

          • +1

            @bargainhunter: Maybe..

A bistro or bistrot /ˈbiːstroʊ/, is, in its original Parisian incarnation, a small restaurant, serving moderately priced simple meals in a modest setting. Bistros are defined mostly by the foods they serve. French home-style cooking, and slow-cooked foods like cassoulet, a bean stew, are typical.[1]

        • makeshift kitchen.

          • @BargainKen: mess hall (bulk catering) at best, ha

            • @G-rig: Richmond / VIC is more likely jail's canteen. All they do is serve and splash food on your dirty plates.

    • Yes

    • don't see why not, you can use the family card and accrue loyalties.

    • Yes you can

    • I have used last year don't know still you can but I have used their $10 voucher to buy Daim as well So 99% possible

    • yes, have a sticker at counter with payments.

  • Nice, are store coupons OK?

    • Answered above :)

      • That's too bad. I feel like at one point they were fine, could be my memory though.

  • Sweet was wanting a life jacket lately. Now will order from eBay AU

    • BCF has Marlin 150N inflatable jackets on sale at $59 which are pretty decent.

      • Would you say those BCF ones are better than this $30 cheapo (good looking one from eBay)

        • Only time will tell.

        • +4

It may be too late to tell after you drown in the $30 cheapo..

      • +1

There is no reference Australian standards or cerifications with the eBay one.

  • +1

OMFG i just spent $100 on Ebay less than an hour ago !

    • +1

Try to cancel that order (aka request cancellation of that order)

    • I spent $1100 at IKEA yesterday.

  • +30

$166.67 is the maximum amount to get MAXIMUM Cashback of 12% ($20)
$183.34 if the item is an overseas item (aka with 10% GST)

  • +8

When using Shopback, make sure to check if it has tracked asap.
Shopback offers a shorter period of time than Cashrewards for reporting missing cashback, and it's not uncommon for it not to track.

My most recent cashback that didn't track was for >$50 and I have an email from the retailer stating the purchase was made 'In partnership with Shopback' but I reported the missing Shopback outside of the window to report (which was actually a few days before services were rendered) so Shopback didn't investigate and I've missed out on >$50.

They stated they can't pay the cashback as they don't have evidence that the purchase was done through them, even though the click through was recorded and I sent the invoice from the retailer that displays 'in partnership with Shopback'.

Haven't had this experience with Cashrewards, although as with all cashback services YMMV.

    • +4

Not every place has instant tracking.

Better to set a future reminder on the ozb deal for 7 days after purchase so you can check tracking. If it hasnt tracked, then you can raise claim with them.

    • +1

Yea, I have exactly same experience as this, even I reported and raised claim, but……….Still waiting for response, It was in May, purchased from TGG.

    • There's some benefit on using Slower tracking

Like It is more easier for them to penetrate through adblockers etc, with CR I would never manage to track my purchase WITH adblock on. (even with me giving exceptions to certain trackers on my adblock software).

But with SB I can most of the times get the order tracked even with adblock on (given I give some exceptions to adblocking software). A good example of this is simply using BRAVE/ARMOFLY etc. like adblock built in browsers. I cannot tell how many times SB has tracked my eBay $0 purchases (even without me clicking through SB) I legit dont know how. But SB will always seem to track those eBay purchases (where I used coupons etc.) when I never clicked through SB.

      • Use cashback app, don't bother with any adblock add-ons and play with exception. Use a totally different browser if you have to with no adblock including turn off all the adblocking stuff on your router if you have to. Otherwise use mobile like me while on browser with no adblock

    • The reason why I don't bother with shopback. 1) data breach 2) cashback not tracked wasting your time to enquire. 3) Doesn't show up til 2 days later

Hence Cashrewards is dozens better too bad eBay not on it

    • +1

Cash rewards has been far more reliable for me too. Shopback has screwed me a few times but I can't deny they've been offering some good deals lately… When they work that is

  • -4

    Capped $20 kills the deal

    • +3

It's a 12% discount site wide on purchases up to $160. Seems decent to me.

Sure you won't use it on Dell etc, but from other sellers that never give any discount it's great.

    • What would you prefer, $1000 cap?

  • +2

Thanks Op, time to buy some FixEms on eBay…👍

  • Just purchased something, waiting for confirmation now of my $20, wonder how long this will take

  • Are the Ikea gift cards instantly available?

    • last time I waited for quite a few hours, YMMV.

    • I’m unsure about ShopBack ones, but with other gift card stores that I purchased IKEA gift cards from, the gift card is available instantly or within a few hours, but it actually takes 36 hours to be recognised in the store or online.

    • I've had some work immediately and others take a day to activate. Been caught out at the counter before due to that.

    • +1

24 to 48 hours as I bought some yesterday and still waiting for them to be activated with 4% CB…. sigh.. I have to go back again whenever the vouchers are activated..

  • +1

Anyone know the expiry on the ebay deal?

    • +1

      Midnight 31st

  • With the ebay deal, do items have to be purchased all at once in 1 go(eg say 5 items) or can I do for example 3 different purchases of eg 1 item each (because of different currencies) while the deal is on?

    • +1

No, make as many transactions as you want. Just keep in mind any cashback after $20 cumulative is naught.

  • +1

I haven't done this in a while, but will cashback track when paying for items won with auctions?

    • I don’t think auction or best offer counts towards the regular cashback tracked. Instead it could be having a $0.00 cashback tracked. I could be wrong since I haven’t tested it myself personally before

    • No, auctions don't normally ever get cashback unfortunately so I don't expect you would get it for this either.
(And also if you use Best Offer or get an offer from the seller that doesn't get cashback either usually)

  • Assume there’s no limit to the number of Ikea gift cards we can get with the 10% off? Can only buy one $200 one at a time, but will 10% be applied across multiple purchases?

    • Yes it should be :)

    • +1

If you shop at Woolworths, they have 20x everyday rewards point the value of the card, ie $200 x 20x point = 4000 points = $20 to use as rewards dollars to spend next time.

      • We do sometimes. I’ll consider that. As with another poster I have a better credit card points earn rate at Woolies too, on my Amex. Want about $1k in cards so the points will add up.

    • FYI you can buy 2 x $200 Ikea cards, 3 x $100, 4 x $50 and 5 x $20 – my partner and I just did on our separate Shopback accounts (good timing; we were just putting together a $3000 shopping list of Ikea stuff!)

  • +1

ikea same offer with woolworths 20x points with EDR, for $100 or $200 this week.. ;)

    • My calculation this works out the same discount - is that correct? The advantage for me is Amex can be used at Woolies - SB only Mastercard which is lower earn rate for me.

      • yes, u have to use the points dollars on next purchase if its set $10 to use and physical card.
but they have a campaign offer for $100 gift cards. 15% at SB

  • +1

Is there a limit to the number of IKEA gift cards you can redeem in a transaction either online or in store?

Places like JB have online limits for cards

    • Hopefully someone corrects me if I’m wrong, but I remember only being able to use one Gift card per online purchase.

      • Is anyone else able to confirm please?

        • +1

i used 8 last time, no problem.

    • in store I've definitely used about 4-5 in one go before

  • Does this work on mobile?

    • Did it on desktop to be safe.

  • +1

how do you check prior to going into Ikea store if the gift card has been activated?

  • Capped $20 per SB account or $20 per transaction (unlimited transactions)?

    • SB page says: "Capped at $20 Cashback Per Customer".
Just remember to keep clicking through SB each time if you are doing multiple transactions :-)

      • +1

Ah yes saw that now. So $20 cap per account

  • so can someone confirm if i buy 2x $200 ikea gift card from same account , i will get 2x $20 cashback?

    • Looks to be a $20 cap per account, not transaction. If you purchased them from two different accounts, this should work I imagine.

      • Nah, purchased another $200 and $20 Cashback tracked

      • $20 cap per account is for eBay upsized promo mate :)

  • Purchased from ebay at 1am this morning. Still not tracked…

    • Same thing with me. No tracking 13 hours later. 12% off banner was on Shopback website when I clicked.

      • Mine tracked now.

    • My tracking just came in. Bought an item for $14 from BIG W eBay and cashback tracked was $1.63. Purchased around 9:18am, cashback notification at 2:45pm

      • yap, mine just tracked at 15:20

  • I won’t but I want to neg. Here I am in IKEA thinking I want to get some discount cards but you can’t use them until 48 hours after you order them? What a stupid restriction!

    • +1

Hot tip: You can place a click and collect order using the gift card code online to check. it is up to 48 hours so the payment system at ikea knows your code is valid.

      • Thanks for the useful tip. In the future if I know I’m buying things there I’ll plan ahead. Today was spur of the moment. Also I’m used to every other gift card being available instantly!

  • Order at 9am, already tracked.

Got 11.85% back on a product from Aussie seller with free shipping. Not complaining because it is TRACKED!

  • So we can't use the 15%/17% OFF that is currently running? (that will end today)

    • Nope, otherwise you’ll get a $0.00 cashback tracked

  • Damn, just missed out on the 12% for ebay - should of done it sooner
