  • Would like to try this but seems illegal in VIC.

    Is my scooter legal?

    If your motorised scooter:

is powered by a petrol motor; OR
has an electric motor with a power output of greater than 200 watts; OR
has a speed capability of greater than 10 km/h
then it cannot be legally used on a road or any road related areas, including footpaths, shared paths or public areas (unless it meets the standards for registration and is registered). The fine for riding an illegal device in a public area is $909. Other penalties may also apply.

It's illegal to use in VIC as it's 350w. Not worth the risk.
You're better off going with a e-bike as most look like normal bikes these days, or at the very least don't stand out like a e-scooter, so less chance that the cops will pick on you provided you're wearing a helmet.

What a nanny state, seem like everything is illegal in VIC.

      • Dan the dictator!

      Hi MagicTskuai,

We have noticed VIC has already started e-scooter trials like other states and trying to make it legal. See below notes and the link.

The Victorian Government has partnered with the City of Melbourne, City of Yarra, City of Port Phillip and the regional City of Ballarat to run e-scooter trials following a targeted expression of interest process in 2021. The trials will run for up to 12 months, making it legal for e-scooters operated by commercial hire companies to travel within designated council areas, subject to safety-based trial regulations.

      • +2

        For the trial, e-scooter riders:
can only ride commercial hire e-scooters by approved operators

private e-scooter use will continue to be prohibited on public roads and road-related areas

Looks quite cheap for scooter with suspension!

Honey says that the price has increased on Amazon by 33% in the last 30 days.

This dude is watching too much mainstream media, a couple of bad eggs and they assume it happened all the time.

        • -2

Oh yeah? Go and ask those who suffer from the injuries. Your comments don't make any sense. Lmao.

      • +7

So many car accidents. Get rid of cars, and let’s go back to horse and buggy.

        • -2

For driving cars at least there are rules which we follow and well for stupidity it ain't going to stop accidents in any vehicle. The chances of people getting hit by e-scooters vs cars are still high.

So try hard to validate your replies to my comment and keep negging!

          • @powerful9990: Rather get hit by an e scooter than a car

            • -1

@NoshTwin: Exactly, and pedesterians have been suffering life long injuries by e-scooter crashes. Who is going to cover them?

      Hi Eduardo Grey,

We joined the Prime Day deal when it was 25% off (i.e. from $899->$674) a few weeks ago, then increase back to RRP. And now it's a better deal even than Amazon Prime Day! Hope you have enjoyed:)

A note for anyone getting these, the honeycomb tyres are nice (no flats). However they are real slippery and cannot be ridden in the wet.

    • Hi TheAccountant,

Thanks for the comments. For this M2 Pro product, we are using pneumatic tires (instead of honeycomb) and you will experience a solid and smooth ride. Thanks.

      • Sorry just noticed the title is pneumatic but the pictures show honeycomb.

        • Hi TheAccountant, no worries, and apologies for the confusion from the photos.

  • Does this support 35km/h speeds as what is advertised on your website?

    https://kugooaustralia.com.au/products/kugoo-m2-pro?variant=…

    • Hi OnlyFans, the M2 Pro model in Australia doesn't support 35km/h (it's with a maximum 25km/h) as most states don't allow a speed over 25km/h. The factory has put hard restrictions on the speed limit in order to comply with Australia rules while it has the same powerful motor as M2 Pros selling in other countries. Thanks.
