1360

I stumbled across this on the App Store. I’ve tried confirming whether this app really was $62.99. It seemed pretty expensive and as far as I know it’s for the lifetime access purchase. Now completely free for 1 week.

I know an app which has more recipes than this one, completely free with ads. Youtube

FYI, this app is designed for children as young as 2, but suitable for kids of all ages.

  • Normally $62.99?!

    • +1

Yes a once off purchase or you can subscribe for a smaller monthly fee. If you keep the app beyond a year though, the once off purchase would be more valuable. I found this out through the US version of the app.

I got it. Thanks for sharing OP. Though I doubt it's really worth $62.99, especially when branded titles (nintendo etc) go for a lot less.

I was skeptical as well which is why I looked into it before posting it. It’s normally $39.99 USD which currency exchange would make it about $63. It has a subscription option of monthly/annually or a once off lifetime purchase of $63. So it makes more sense in that context. There’s plenty of apps with this model.

  • Thanks OP my I just installed this on our iPads my kids haven’t stopped playing it

    "62.99, dudes!"

  • Can this be loaded on a MacBook?

      • I'll give it a shot, the kids might like it, thanks 👍

      • Doesn't work, on MBPM1 via Safari, there's no way to load it.

Perhaps you need to load it on an iPhone/iPad, then bring it across to the laptop?

Thanks anyway, but thought I'd share that it doesn't work, not in a straight forward manner anyway.

        • This version of the app doesn't seem compatible, it doesn't show up in the Mac App store. Another version of this app does though.

          • @AustriaBargain: I'm not very good with MacOS though, so I think soemone more savvy than I will work it out.

Absolutely nobody paid $62 for this.

  • Thanks OP, 3.5yo loves it so far.

For anyone still wondering why it was $62.99 here is the pricing info on the free app with a link to the free app. Foodabee
Note: You don’t need this app if you’ve downloaded the one in my original post, this is just for reference.

    In-App Purchases
    Foodabee (1 Month) - $9.99
    Foodabee (1 Month) - $9.99
    Lifetime access - $62.99
    Food Academy Annual (1 Year) - $45.99
    Food Academy Annual (1 Year) - $53.99
    Foodabee Full Access (1 Month) - $5.99
    Foodabee Full Access (1 Year) - $29.99

Now whether the content is worth it, well that’s subjective to the user. You can see though their pricing model entices the user to just pay for the lifetime purchase. Either way free is free and that’s always a good bargain!

  • Thanks I’m playing it . Looks fun

  • If you download it during the free period, does it still work after the free period, or do you have to pay to continue using it?

  • Thanks OP, my kid loves it.👍

  • Yep, my daughter loves it thanks op

  • Not showing as free for me. has the full 62.99 showing. Has it expired early?
