  • How do you get Microsoft rewards points

  • -3

What you man? Do i use my JB hi fi card to purchase a microsoft product and then I get the point bonus?

    • +2

You buy JB Hi-Fi eGift cards with your Microsoft Rewards points.

  • -3

Wow that looks like the worst rewards program ever.

Spend $6750 or search 2250 times and get a $5 gift card!

Works out pretty well if you're already using Bing/Xbox/game pass already. Or if you automate the searches…

        Except…

“Level 1 members earn up to 5 points a day, 150 points a month, when searching Bing in Microsoft Edge on PC or mobile. Level 2 members earn up to 20 points a day, 600 points a month, when searching Bing in Microsoft Edge on PC or mobile.”

        • +1

You get 60 points for mobile search, 90 for desktop and 12 for edge per day plus some quiz and link gives you 10 to 50 points. Total you can get 170 to 200 points per day. It takes me one month to get to 6750 points.

          • @Iluvfreebies-freeDel: Definitely sounds like all the effort is worth $5/month to spend at JB. Don’t spend it all at once!

          • @Iluvfreebies-freeDel: And I thought my savings account was bad. I could take two 10 minute surveys on purkle and get $5.

            • -1

@pennypincher98: Not aware of purkle. Do you get surveys everyday? can you redeem $5 into the bank account like shopback?

              • -1

@Iluvfreebies-freeDel: Found it through Ticketek weirdly enough. You get surveys in batches and you can redeem dollars for different brand gift cards (they've also got a flexi card). Might have an option to transfer to bank account now not sure, haven't used it in ages.

      • How do you automate the searches?

You buy digital games, you get points. You do basic things each day/week you get lots of points etc etc

      Maybe do your research.

Simply using your xbox gets points.

  • While I have a stack of Microsoft points, this isn't a deal IMO

  • I am always finding higher prices at JB in comparison to other retailers.

    • I find it works out cheaper at JB when the item is on special (when you’re not in a hurry getting it, so could wait when it’s discounted), stacked with at least 10% discounted JB gift cards obtained from various places like TCN gift cards, Ultimate gift cards, ShopBack, Ozbargain classifieds (good thing with JB gift cards is there are no limit to how many JB gift cards you can use for online purchases, so you can just accumulate whenever you get at least 10% discounted JB gift cards), stacked with JB’s $10 perks coupon and stacked with whenever AfterPay or ZipPay has some sort of JB promo.

Not a Microsoft user but 6750 seems to be a lot of points for $5

    • +1

OK, so what are you basing that on?

      • -1

        Common sense.

        • Evidently you have none. You have no idea how easy it is to earn them let alone their value. And you don't even use xbox…. So why you here?
