Came across some of these clearance items for some selected K&N filters. I happened to search at the right time for my Mini Cooper S (R56).
I looked on the Supercheapauto website and saw a few others on clearance. They may also be available on eBay as well.
I was happy with the price at $79, so the $10 off just sweetened the deal for me.

    haha it certainly isn't one of the best investments, but I do manage to keep costs of maintenance down by doing everything myself! Which is pretty much just oil/ filters.. the regular stuff.

    haha yeah I was skeptical of that.. i don't even think its a noticeable improvement. But its washable! with the cleaner and oil, it works out to be heaps cheaper than buying disposable paper filters @$35 each. A bit of an outlay in the beginning but the savings will come with each service I do!

      Generally aftermarket filters can be much cheaper than $35, even less than half that. The K&N filter will actually let more dirt into the engine causing wear.

        That's the cheapest I could find on eBay where I usually buy aftermarket filters. Prices seem to have gone up for them.

  K&N filters give high engine performance but also do an abysmal job of filtering the air. They likely cause premature engine wear. See for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJ3L-E-ufYo
