  Hate all these curvy drill designs.

  One of the most important things to using a drill is aligning it with the hole you want to make. Which is made much more difficult where there are almost no straight lines or right angles on the tool itself.

  For certain applications, the difference of only a degree or two can make a big difference, and not everything can be done with precision on a drill press.
