just a reminder, this machine cannot use third party coffee pod.

yes. might want to wait until the patent runs out and 3rd parties can make the pods too.
AFAIK, the regular pod machines just push fixed amount of hot water through. The Vertuo pods come in different blends and sizes. The machine reads the code on the pod, spins the pod and send variable amount of hot water based on the pod’s size (from espresso size to large mug size). Personally I find the flavour come out better than the regular pods.
The pods for the vertuo range are hard to come by in store. I think you might only be able to get them directly from nespresso?

Also don’t think it comes with milk frother for those that like lattes or cappuccinos
I have had this one for 3-4 months. So far it is working fine. It is not convinent to get pods as opposed to the regular one, but not much of an issue for me as I only order the same pod everytime so I order in bulk.
For anyone who is interested in the Vertuo range, PLEASE AVOID the VertuoNext model. I had one and it failed in 2 months. Then exchanged for a new one from customer service, it failed in 1 month. Exchanged again and it failed again in 1 month. At the end I asked them to give me a VertuoPlus and the drama finally stopped. Hopefully it won't happen again.
FYI, I have a Vertuo Plus that is still going after 4 years of daily use.

I had two VertuoNext's, both failed. One failed just under a year, the replacement failed in 1 week. Gave up, got our money back and went back to my aeropress. Wont be going back to their machines. Good to hear the plus is standing up better.
