Razor Electric Party Pop Scooter $99.99 (RRP $349.99) Delivered @ Razor Online

Razor Electric Tekno Scooter OOS

Saw that Costco had this kids electric scooter on their last chance page for $149.97 but of course had to check for some more pricing/info. Looks like even Razor are clearing this and at an even better price. Real world pricing varies a lot actually so I'm not sure what they were really selling for but it seems like a lot more than $99.99

May also be able to pick it up from JB Hifi for the same price but looks like stock is really limited. I tried a few post codes and only 3000 had anything but you have to get it delivered which looks to cost $6.99. Best bet is probably Razor themselves anyway.

Does anyone have any experience with these? No real use for my family. Would just sit collecting dust for many years before we could make use of this. Maybe helpful for some others.

Edit: Please try the other colour. Main link looks to be OOS.

Edit 2: Changed links around

    max weight: 50kg

Would ah, dad be able to take this for a spin, or is it just for the kids?

    • +2

You'd have to be pretty small and light. 50kg max.

Edit: It's also pretty slow for adults I imagine. 12km/hr is probably just fine for kids.

      • +12

        50kg max.

Thanks mate, ordered one. I'm 99 kilos so I should be able to ride it by putting only one leg on it and come under the limit!!1!

        • +28

Get 2, one for each leg!

          • +2

@ccrap: What about the 3rd one then? It comes and goes to be fair.

            • @CocaKoala: 3rd one for his orse?

            • +3

@CocaKoala: 3rd one is used for braking

              • @pinkybrain: Help, I can only brake depending on the ongoing scenery.

Grandma Dorothy crossing the road and the braking leg suddenly disappeared into itself, causing me to lose control and crash into her and knock her sideways into the gutter. To tell you the truth she has been looking like someone knocked her into the gutter sideways for about 30 odd years now, so no harm done I suppose.

Thankfully no witnesses so I just picked up the scooter and scurried away.

    • If dad is 50 kg or under yeh

I'm trying to ensure my kids do exercise not have the scooter move for them…

    • +2

My thinking too. So much time on the electricals, I want this kinda time to be exercise.

    • +2

      Yes exactly!

    • +18

You could reverse the motor so that it makes going forward a lot more difficult for them. That would definitely increase their exercise!

    • But it looks like you can also use it as a normal scooter without power. No?

    • exercise being bringing it back if the battery goes flat/ if it breaks down?

So primeval. Get out of the stone age!

That's the distance you'll drive to buy bread if you lived in Tasmania. I heard many people get eaten by Tassie devils on the way to buying bread. They bite through the car and all to get a pound of flesh.

        • Warned due to politically incorrect!

          (should read 454 grams)

            Warned due to politically incorrect!

I don't understand, mate. Are you talking about warning those outcast savages living down there? They don't heed to warnings and will cannibalise anyone trying to talk to them.

            (should read 454 grams)

            The what?

  • Sold out apparently.

    • I can add the other colour to the cart still. Maybe try that one?

      • I ended up getting the party pop one if thats what you mean?

        https://www.razor.com.au/products/razor-electric-party-pop-s…

        • Yeah, I think they are essentially the same, no? Just different colour scheme I imagine.

          • @ozbs25: Looks similar enough. Probably non brushless motor but the main thing is its got a lithium battery. The Razor scooters with lead acid batteries are landfill waiting to happen, the batteries just dont stand up to deep discharge. Little kids should be happy enough with it anyway.

  • Thanks Op, purchased for my daughter (in electric party pop colour). Will post back on thoughts

  • Thanks OP got one for my daughters 8th birthday later this month.

  • Since these are illegal in most states - can a parent be held liable if their kids runs into someone fragile and injures them?

  • i bought this, the motor wont start at all.

    • no wonder $99

      • +1

I think you need to build up some speed before it kicks in. Are you doing it from a standing start?

  • +1

We got ours and I gave it to my 8yo daughter today. Verdict….it is a piece of crap. Won’t work outside the house - does seem to kick in down our hallway. Glad I didn’t pay the original price. Not even worth $99.

    • Sorry, it's not working out for you. Are you sure you are using it right? Razor is a pretty reputable scooter brand. Maybe contact them to see what the issue may be?

  • Just bought a Buzz Lightyear scooter with lights all around for $30 at Big W. That's a deal! Oh, yeah, and it's muscle powered; that's a plus!

  • Built 2020. Its OK definitely wouldn't have spent more than $99
