LEGO Technic App-Controlled Transformation Vehicle 42140

Looks like a very good price, only beaten by Ebay plus deal a few weeks ago… not sure it will get lower again due to price increase…

This is a very decent price for a great set.
    Thanks OP.
Worth noting though that the $99 eBay Plus deal you mentioned did happen more than once, and that were both in the last 6 weeks. I'd expect it to happen again if you are just a Lego hoarder and don't require this immediately.

Could happen as early as today ($98) and potentially an even better price ($91.80) tomorrow with Afterpay.

This is part of the 2 day LEGO sale that just started and is a further 20% off the discounted price of $135 which itself was already 20% off.

The Big W eBay store generally updates to the same pricing as their website so there is a possibility of being able to stack with other offers.

$10 off $80+ Spend on Eligible Items When You Pay with a Credit or Debit Card @ eBay

[Afterpay] 15% off Eligible Items (Min Spend $50, Max Disc $150) @ eBay

Price on eBay has now updated to match their website so eBay Plus members can get it for $98 with the $10 off $80+ spend when paying with debit/credit card, but as I said before it could be even cheaper tomorrow with Afterpay.

        • Yep. You made some great points and I'm not even remotely surprised.

  • BigW 'save $61', so infers regular price of $169?. Good price though, edit, plus it says online only price

Weird looking machine. Good looking price. Found myself OzBargained and pressing buy.

  • I don't really collect Lego, as I don't really have room to store it, but I'm out of town for work and getting bored most nights. Tempted to pick this up to entertain me for an evening or two.

Edit: Scratch that, 1-2 day delivery is 'Metro only' but apparently a short walk from Sydney CBD isn't 'metro' enough I guess.

  • Tempting… can you get a normal remote control for it?

just did my research for the same Q and then ordered:
      app: BrickController 2
controller type: all types this app supports, pretty much all types
      youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=irMby1yHxYs

Yeah anything app-based will be lucky to work in 5 years. I still have a 35 year old Lego train set.

      • Why not? My first version Lego Mindstorms still working until today.

  • Same price at Woolworths (free delivery for orders over $100) - https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/1073921752

BigW being a division of Woolies means it probably just comes from BigW anyway.

Yes, it's an "Everyday Market" product, which means it comes from a 3rd party, in this case Big W.

  • Anyone have this can comment on if its good over grass? or is this a flat surface thing.

    • +1

The motors are generally not powerful enough for rough outdoor surfaces, let alone grass.

$98 on ebay - promo code MCPAY10V3 (pay with credit card).

  • Bought it from last deal, so much fun.
