    make up your mind…

    • +2

Give us a break - just had to make a quick edit!!

  • -6

not really a sale! more like double prices!

    • +2

      Swarovski is never a bargain… it's just overpriced glass…

      • +3

And gold, platinum, silver and diamonds are just overpriced rocks and metals. fact is they are still worth something because we assign a value to them, just like people assign value to swarovski.

        • -4

Gold, platinum, silver and diamonds are mined and their price reflects how scarce they are…

Glass is made from sand, you can make it at home…

        • +8

yes, everyone can make glass, but can everyone cut them as artistically and well as a swarovski?

remember diamonds are just like a piece of rock and most of the time the value only shines when it is cut and polished the right way.

I'm all for 'burning' posts that proclaim themselves to be swarovskis when they are not. However, this is the real stuff, and having it discounted, I think it's a good deal.

Scarcity means nothing unless you decide the product has worth.

I personally cant stand swarovski, I think it looks cheap and tacky, but the fact is that whether I like it or not… it has value.

Look at a pair of shoes, almost all shoes are made of similar/same material, but you will pay differently depending on the brand, the style, the rarity and where you purchase them from.

Something is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay. Don't let anyone ever tell you otherwise.

Please teach me how to make glass at home. :)

Scarcity means nothing unless you decide the product has worth.

most people would rather have a 1 carat diamond than a 1 carat piece of glass… so someone has already decided…

        • +1

Fail, Taken the quote totally out of context.

How much is 1 carat diamond ? how much is 1 carat crystal ( is more pure form of glass)

The deal here is the value of the product based on market perception, if you believe its over valued, then don't buy it.

If the market believes its over valued than it will close down, it hasn't meaning the market hasn't reflected it as over-valued (eg FB Shares).

so all this debate has nothing to do with the deal at hand.

        • 1 carat = 200 mg, but that's only for gemstones or pearls. Swarovski cannot be included because it's a diamond wannabe. Another interesting point to note is that diamond is not as scarce as everyone thinks. De Beers, the world's largest diamond company, controls the supply of diamonds to raise demand and in effect, the price. In other words, if we were playing diamond monopoly, De Beers is that cheating bastard who always wins.

        • no, it's more than that, it was the diamond industry that successfully conned women into thinking they deserved to be given pieces of shiny carbon to prove that their partner values them.

That, my friend, is the biggest crock of shit heaped onto humanity.

      • I thought it was made of crystals and minerals?
