I'm interested in getting a rower and have looked at this item - but I can get a second-hand Concept 2 on FB marketplace for less money - and that just seems like a better deal…

Seriously though, I wonder how much that product placement has benefited the brand. First time I ever saw this type of rower and it does have a certain appeal to it.
I've had a WaterRower GX for about 6 and a half years and it's never missed a beat. Bought the expensive tablet/laptop stand for it last year. Can't fault the authenticity of using water to row.

I have used concept 2 for years at rowing clubs and gyms and they are brilliant but they are loud and ugly and not easy to store. I prefer the water rower at home for the water feel, less noise and aesthetics.
Both do almost the same job it just depends where you are actually going to use it.
