BLUE28

This is back on sale again for the same price. It's a car Bluetooth 5.1 receiver that can convert your car's audio system into a Bluetooth speaker and has an inbuilt mic so it can be used for hands free calls. There's buttons for media control and to enhance the bass. It uses a 3.5mm cable for connecting to the car's AUX port and a USB cable for power.

I bought one of these during the last sale.. If you're looking to buy one, IMHO there are better ones out there for similar prices.

In comparison to 2 other units I have (Baseus BA01 and Blitzwolf BW-BR2):
    1. The audio output volume with the Cabletime unit is very low, even with volume set to the highest on the unit
    2. The audio quality is poor in comparison to the other units. Sounds muddy with a lack of definition. Sounds worse than FM radio!
    3. The "Bass boost" feature is useless and makes it sound even worse
    4. Low build quality. The outer jacket of the cable has already started fraying, exposing the thin wires underneath.

There are better options out there…

So, of the other two you tried, you've concluded…. (Help?)

      • Both the Baseus and the Blitzwolf ones sound fine. Im using the Baseus BA01 at the moment (there are other similar ones like Ugreen etc.) because I dont need a transmitter and/or calling functions (car already has that, I just dont have android auto/apple carplay, I just want to be able to stream spotify to the car stereo). The Blitzwolf unit I have is at least 3 years old now and it was always an annoyance because you had to switch on the unit manually. Like the Cabletime, the Baseus BA01 powers on when the USB is powered on, so it's perfect.

        • I have the Baseus one, and it's quite decent, and I bought a similar maginon one from Aldi and its around the same quality but the Mic is a shade worse. Just in case anyone wants to know as the biggest issue with these devices is there's so many crappy ones, that you would end up frustrating your callers taking calls in the car unless umyou are stationary and you shout

    • Agree that sound quality is not as good as others, hopefully my cable doesn't start to fray - i've had mine for about 6months now and no issues

  • Have this, sound quality is not the best but its good enough (compared to my old bluetooth receiver Blitzwolf BW-BR1) however this set up works better for my car set up.
    Mic quality is good
No static sound - my old set up needed a grounding kit to stop the static whilst being charged
    Bass boost - useless
Overall - can't complain due to the price
If anyone else has better sounding one please reply (need similar setup however - powered via usb/mic on module and connects via rca/usb)
