    Our pre-workout sachets retail at $3.00 per sachet (Found in gym vending machines).

    As we are a small business (Launched last Thursday), we don't actually profit from this due to the small quantity of stock that we do have.

    We are hoping to eventually be able to give the samples completely free to any new customer but currently we cannot afford this due to just launching.

    I hope this makes sense! I always get the best feedback and constructive criticism from OzBargain so thank you for all the feedback!

  You posted this 23 minutes ago and revised it once 16 minutes ago, based on the revision history at no point was this originally 'completely free' to Ozbargain users. If you updated your site and people from the general public snapped up the free samples before you posted this deal then I don't understand why you felt the need to include the above portion in your post.

  $3 for a sample seems a little far fetched. I understand that postage isn't free but you're trying to promote a product to get people interested in buying the full sized equivalent (at a profit). I have never heard of having to pay for samples except when you include free samples with an actual order.

  Assuming the samples are this size then it would easily fit in a standard envelope with a $1.10 stamp so not entirely sure why you're charging $3 for said samples posted, seems like you're trying to profit off samples and try to get people interested in buying the full sized equivalent.

  Bulk Nutrients have been sending out samples of their pre-workout & protein powder for over a year FOC (Free of charge) despite their generous sample size (For the protein anyways, never tried the pre-workout), simply because it's clever marketing and consider it a loss leader in exchange for better chance in customers purchasing their larger sizes (at a profit)

    Hey James, If you look at our Instagram account and the stories that we're posted earlier today, we we're giving out 200 for completely free hence why the artwork on our website says 'Try our pre-workout for completely free'. I do understand it is a bit misleading but i wanted to let everyone know that the first 200 orders have already been redeemed from our Instagram and Facebook audience.

    Our samples are a full serving and one of each-flavour is included in the order so from your samples you'll get two full shakers full // 2 gym sessions worth. This costs us a bit between $3.00 - $5.00 in costs so we are actually left with a loss even at the $3.00 cost.

    Finally in comparison with Bulk Nutrients, this is something we hope to do in the future (FOC for any new users) but as we are brand new as of last week, we simply cannot afford to give out more than 200 FOC at a time. Zion Supplements was made by three 21-year olds and is manufactured in Gold Coast, Australia. I definitely understand why you wouldn't want to spend $3 on two samples but these are exactly the same as what is included in our Pre-workout 10-pack which is quite popular for those that use pre-workout once or twice a month.

  You've done 2 and almost all the feedback is hostile. All the power to you Ben, what you're doing is not easy and you're in an already saturated market. Best of luck.

  Side note: OzBargain may not be your best target audience. It isn't exactly full of people who've stepped inside a gym or know what one even looks like. Give them free junk food and they'll be all over it like a rash.
