Hi all,

I saw this on my Facebook feed a couple weeks back and bought it then. Just saw it on my feed again and looked on OzB and didn't see it posted before.

The offer is $1 for your first Paint by Numbers Subscription Box ($33.90 normally) plus delivery, total cost came to $4.99 delivered for me.

Please note that there is an ongoing subscription and their T&Cs do state that there is a minimum of 2 subscriptions, so a total minimum cost of $42.88 for two paint by numbers. However, after my first one was delivered, I contacted their support and they cancelled my subscription for me, so I never received or was charged for the second box. I am not sure if that is standard practice or whether YMMV, but I managed to snag a paint by numbers delivered for $4.99. I suppose you could also sign up via PayPal and then cancel the ongoing subscription and you wouldn't be charged again, but not sure of the legality of that.

The paint by numbers I received was actually really good and gave to the misses who is enjoying it.

  • Or you could just go to Kmart and buy their framed 60x40cm paint by number canvas kits for $5-$9 each?

These are a lot nicer than the Kmart ones

      • Nicer than the Kaiser craft ones?

        • I think so, much more intricate but also have different difficulties if you wanted an easier one

Edit: that is just going off Kaisercraft photos on website, and I haven't done on personally. I've done a Kmart one and was too basic

I agree, much nicer than the Kmart ones which are very basic, and the Kaisercraft ones @Nalar. Huge variety of kits and designs, and I've been very happy with the Paint Plot kits I've got so far. I've bought some through various sales at Paint Plot, I've had a subscription since about November last year, but chose the 3-month option (i.e. one kit delivered every three months). The hardest part is choosing which kit to get each time, as there's so many great designs. I'm amazed at how well the kits come out, a far cry from the paint by numbers I used to do as a kid 50 years ago! I have no artistic ability at all, and never thought I'd get hooked on doing them after buying a Paint Plot kit last year.

I've bought some kits from Kaisercraft - only a few, as most of their designs don't appeal to me - and several from AliExpress as well, which have been surprisingly good but I think that depends on which seller you buy from. Also got a couple of cheapie $10 from Shiploads (discount store chain here in Tassie). I've also bought some from a place called Paint Art Australia (or Paint Art Global as they've recently rebranded themselves) and would not recommend them, the kits were terrible (and not cheap) and a lot of customers have had problems with orders paid for and not received

I will be cancelling my Paint Plot subscription after my latest one arrives this month, simply because I have WAY too many kits and need to stuck into those and get them done before I buy any more LOL. I still have a Paint Plot gift card that I received for Christmas last year, so will be getting some more with that in due course, and will probably sign up for a subscription again in the future.
