    Yup, bloody useless team. Cancelled my booking and after more than 8 weeks haven’t got my refund as promised on Qantas website.

    4 months waiting and counting. Different staff told different time when I will get the refund.

    Do I have to report to the police that Qantas stole my money?🤔

      Just take them to your state's small claims tribunal. I did it with Fisher and Paykel. The matter went straight to a hearing since it was a relatively small amount and they paid up a day before the hearing was to occur.

    • I cancelled two times in last 12months. Both couldn’t get my refunds for a long time then I reached out to PayPal/credit card bank. Sent them the cancel confirmation and got my money back

    Awesome, so Qantas' incompetent Mindpearl call centre in Manila re-ticketed my flights to Europe and erroneously downgraded me from first to economy, then I wasted a week on hold and being hung-up on only to be all but called a liar. BTW, I have my original first class tickets but Qantas are unable to receive email attachments and don't respond to emails anyway, so they will never acknowledge their errors. Now I get $50 compensation and Mr Joyce condescendingly comments there were "good reasons" behind the poor service. Likewise, there are "good reasons" why I will not be flying Qantas again as this is just one of many horrific experiences I have had with Qantas in the last year. The only way to correct a Qantas' error is to cancel and book again. NB. Other airlines are not having these problems, nor are they still blaming Covid every chance they get. Amazed My Joyce still has a job after the irreparable brand damage he has overseen.

    • That’s nothing new though. Qantas for many years has downgraded people from higher classes and completely refused any compensation.

    • I had the same experience, I had a business + first trip with QF and JAL and the call centre in south africa cancelled it when I actually wanted to cancel a different flight I had booked

    1. It's not our fault (when it actually is); or
    2. Other airlines are in the same boat (when they're not, or are to a much lesser extent)

    I've switched airlines (when possible).

      You just need to earn a single point. Go create an account at Kogan, link to your FF Qantas account a d buy a Sim card from Kogan for like $2. Done.

    Still waiting for my lounge refunds since May, because the lounge wasn't open.
    Reported 3 times, still no refund.
    Also spent 2 hours on hold trying to get somebody to talk to, then hung up.

    Qantas are grubs. They gave everyone flight credits during Covid then when you go to use them, they make you use a special link, and they increase the price 50%

    Over 8 hours on the phone for a refund! (not exaggerated at all)
    They unilaterally rebooked my return Melbourne to Tokyo flight as a return Melbourne to Sydney flight in an attempt to steal my money, giving me only about 72 hours to refund it or get charged. (At the same price as an international flight - $2000)
    Over 4 months for them to give me MY money back which is a free loan to them.
    Absolute disgusting and in my opinion blatantly illegal conduct. The ACCC needs to take them to town. I strongly urge anyone who has had a bad experience to complain to the ACCC and aviation watchdog with evidence. It's the only way anything will be done.

    Qantas is awful god forbid you need to speak to a human. 5 + hours wait times on phones, I just hung up after that. Not even one instance either, multiple times…
    Compare that to Fiji Airways, someone picks up on the second ring, have had to call them a few times and wait times literally less than 2 mins each time.

    Had a flight from Rome to Perth then Perth to Brisbane that I booked in March of this year. Perth to Brisbane flight got cancelled and was offered a replacement flight the day before (which I wouldn't be able to take, since I would still be in the air flying from Rome). Took 2 weeks for Qantas to sort this out.

    Have a booking from Brisbane to Melbourne which Qantas changed three times. Still waiting for the change in flight to be ticketed. I've called twice and they told me it is ticketed by a different department and they will requeue it for ticketing. A week has passed and still no ticket.

    Also needed to call to book a ticket from Qatar (as you can't book it yourself through their website). They insisted I would not be charged the 'reward assistance fee' for booking over the phone given I couldn't do it myself, yet they have taken 7700 points for this.

    I personally haven't used Qantas in 5 years & will attempt to never fly Qantas again, only doing so in an emergency & with no other option available. On two occasions I had issues with Qantas flights while overseas & on both occasions Qantas customer service was so poor I can not justify using their services again. When away from home, especially while overseas I want to know when things inevitably go wrong the airline will do it's best to help you out of that situation. Especially when the situation is caused as a result of that airlines actions (or inactions). When purchasing a product I value price, quality & customer service, Qantas proves time & again customer service is not a priority & they view the relationship with customers as a one way street. They'll happy take your money, smile when you walk past than activity avoid tricky situations in they hope they will just go away. From reading the post on this thread & various other forums, it looks like nothing's changed in the past five years since I've last used there services.

    This is such BS Qantas. The $50 is not a gift it’s a bribe. Only valid if you spend more money on a return flight not even a one way!! And extending status is also BS. They should extend status credits so everyone has another year to level up if they want to. They must employ some stupid PR and marketing folks.

    • They are extending status credits as well. But there are roll over limits, Silver can only roll 100 SC for example.

      Better than nothing.

          Emailed them because their phones at the time were an 8+ hour wait.

          Took them 8 months to reply. Replied to their email. Got another reply 6 months later saying it's now 12 months past the scheduled flight date so I am no longer entitled to a refund lol And they get our tax money to get bailed out
