That is an usual shape. Obviously no good for pockets but perhaps not bad for backpacks. Probably distributes the weight a little better than a solid brick.

Thought the image was stretched out, had to double check the eBay listing.

      • Its got 4 ports across on the front + power button. Would need a bit of real estate for all that I/O

Got one of these, for the most part it's good. Only downside is for my use, it doesn't reinitiates passthrough when charging the powerbank from zero. Bypassed this with a USB switch cable. Aside from that it works well as a dashcam battery, I get 15 hours worth of dash cam filming with this battery.

    • seem a bit heavy for 20000mAh powerbank

      • The lighter powerbanks tend to be bulky though. Personal preference I guess.

XDA actually list this as 1cm / 0.4" thick (https://www.xda-developers.com/baseus-blade-100w-power-bank-…), despite the official measurement of 18mm.
Looking at their photo. It may taper a little but a 8mm discrepancy is a lot…

have to for 100W i think, I have another brand one capable of same (Xiaomi) and it's also just as heavy

  • Would this be okay for Quest 2?

    • +1

Assuming you mean the Meta/Oculus Quest 2?

Those thing comes with 10W charger.. so yes, this will be more than servicable.. if its true 100W charging, then this will charge a 16" MBP.

      • Yes, Meta Quest 2. And thank you for the information.

Would this be okay for Quest 2?

      It's OK for a Tesla.

Most people prefer a smaller power bank and then strap it onto the back of the headstrap, so it can act as a counterweight as well. This profile is not good for that.

      • Thanks mate. That's very helpful. It does seem a bit big.

a 10000mAh or even a 5000mAh is sufficient. You don't really want to play for too long continuously without a break anyways.

          • @ATangk: I use sidequest to enhance the graphic palette which really improves the visuals along with the highest CPU setting. That drains the battery about twice as fast and in some games even faster. But I think 10,000mAh will be enough. The longest I've played for was about 1.5 hours but had to use the link cable.

  • I have one of these the battery last a day after a charge then drains to zero…

That can't be right. Must have a faulty one?

      • Think I should try return it? Was thinking they all like that.

        • Yes, return.

      • Well depends what it’s being used on. Could easily deplete this with 2-3hrs of gaming at 100w

Lucky you, I brought one as a back up many months ago… Had to use it the other week (long power outage), screen says 100% but wouldn't charge any phone, Iphone or Android. The funny thing was that the device was set to allow the phone to charge the power bank. Long story short, My 100w power bank is faulty.

  • Got one. Similar to my Chargeasap Flash 2.0, but I don't need wireless and prefer this form factor. Thanks for posting!

    • what are your thoughts on the Flash 2.0. I bought their infinity cables. worst things I ever invested in. Was eyeing the flash 2.0 but opted out due to the poor experience with the cables.

Havent bough power banks in a while.. Is this a good price?

The reviews seem like sponsored. Notebook check one doesn't seem trustworthy

  • Tempting but… with me not travelling in a while, and not in the short term in the future, I can't quite figure out how this will fit into my life or fulfill a need. Hmm.

      Aha. I see…go on.

Get this, then you will need to buy a Macbook Pro M1 Pro or M1 Max 16 inch to test its 100W claim. An excuse to buy a bigger toy basically.

      • Or just something that does 100w plus like many non apple phones on the market.

  • I was looking for a car charging solution last week, but ran out of time and I started a long trip without it but laptop was fine, it lasted the whole way.

    Now there's deal, but don't feel there's a need for it. :D

  • Any recommendations for a 10000mah fast charging power bank?

  • Thanks OP, grabbed one

  • I wish it had wireless charging option too. Any suggestions of similar specifications along with wireless charging

    • I have a near-new one of these that I'm planning to offload once I get and test my Baseus:

      https://chargeasap.com/products/flash2

It currently costs $177 new, but I'd be selling close to the Baseus price point, plus shipping. If you might be interested in that next week, message me your email address and I'll shoot you some info and photos then.

  • I don't trust Baseus. Had lot of bad experiences.. I think they are branded cheap stuff..i like their car chargers though.

    • Strange, I have had good experiences with Baseus so much that along with Anker it's my go to brand

    • I've found them but and miss, love their USB cables (except their magnetic 100W ones didn't last at all for me). But they're my go-to for USB cables. Have had really good luck with them maybe or they're just pretty good.

    • yes! I have their 160W car charger, and it's incredibly fast
