Free Copy of COD: Modern Warfare 2 (2022) with Eligible Intel Products from 25/08/22 - 31/12/22

It seems like several retailers in Australia are doing the Intel Promotion for free digital code of COD: MW 2 (2022) for certain products with a list of CPU listed in this link https://www.dexerto.com/tech/free-modern-warfare-2-intel-191…. The code is distributed via Intel Software Advantage Program (https://softwareoffer.intel.com/) which requires signup for a new account to redeem the code with some validation steps (i.e: which product, product code, place of purchase, invoice upload, etc…).

So I've been doing a bit of digging around and it seems like Intel accepts the products purchased from these Australian retailers (but not limited to as Mwave is also running it) per this screenshot: https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/180979/97849/intel.png. I got my code via the purchase of the Acer Nitro 5 from Harvey Norman. This promotion seems to run from 25 August 2022 until 31 January 2022 and code must be redeemed before 15 March 2023; however I was able to claim this code even when I purchased the laptop on 20 August so I guess it's worth a try if you have purchased any eligible Intel products within August or so.

Hope that people would find this helpful when purchasing any eligible Intel CPU products. The game has RRP of $109.95 on Steam on release so it would be quite a bonus.

the entire COD franchise is total and utter trash. The multiplayer experience is like catching delta strain covid over and over again

I wouldn't even play it if it was free

This is on the Shopping Express website so they're participating

    • Hey! Just wondering if you have any further info on this?
I just purchased a 13th gen series CPU via shopping express and hoping I can get a bonus copy of MWII, but this comment is the only evidence I've seen of shopping express participating.

      Thanks so much!

      • You just need your Master Key from whichever supplier you use. If you haven't got it within a week of your purchase you could email and ask for it.

I got mine via MWave so I can't confirm if SE were still part of it as of today, all I'd seen was the website banner that's now gone

        • Alrighty, thanks mate!

      • Did you end up getting the code to get a copy of mw11. Ive just got a 13th gen cpu from shopping express as well and was wondering what my chances were of getting a copy. Cheers mate.

Yep, I emailed them and they helped me out no problem!

  • I bought an Acer Nitro 5 from Harvey Norman on 29th July, raised a ticket to Intel Software Advantage with a heartfelt letter about my loyalty for 25 years, they rejected my request stating that only purchases after 25th August are eligible :P

this deal was on Nitro 5 deal thread as well.

Hey sorry for your experience mate. But I bought mine on 22nd August and I was still able to claim it. Alternatively you can try to see if a "soft return" is possible at your local store as you can ask HN staff member to issue another invoice after "returning" the product (best choose a time on a weekday when it's not too busy?).

      • hehe that is ok mate, I just wanted to try my luck. I have opened mine and upgraded as well. Anyway I still have many games (specially COD Vanguard got for $19 from a previous deal) to play. I might get it after couple of years when it is discounted.

How is the game ? Have you played it ?

I’ve been away from most FPS since MW BO3 so can’t really comment on that. But I heard it was pretty decent and way much better than Battlefield 2042. But can see that the reboot MW series is really catching on.

  • So I can buy a CPU for $350, redeem the game and then sell the CPU for $300?

Any idea if the code is steam or Bnet?

    • That is def one way to do it. I’m unsure as Intel hasn’t specified yet. All they said was that the code would be available on release date.

    Hey @Grey 13,
After you clicked on the MW2 (after using your master key or POP), is the claim button available to you?

    Mines blank?

    NVM, I see the text:

Not available until October 28, 2022.

Next time I'll wear my glasses before asking stupid questions lol

    • Nah all good mate. I was as confused as you did back there haha

  • Stupid question does anyone have the link to get there code i have nothing on my page yet to get my Cod game atm.

    • Try to refresh the page. It'll take a while but I've got my code after 2hrs.

  • I wonder if you could buy a cpu, redeem the code and return the cpu unused

    • Also wanting to know this as well as wethere it's for steam or battle net

      • It is a code for Battlenet.

        • FYI it's not a code you redeem. You need to register the cpu with your intel account, then link your intel account to battle.net which then authorizes a copy of MWII on your battle.net account

    • Theoretically yes that is possible.
