Free Colonel Sanders Autobiography / Cookbook (PDF)

180

This is a PDF autobiography / cookbook, it looks like an interesting read, and these are apparently some of Colonel Sander's old recipes (Doubt they have anything to do with the 11 secret herbs and spices, lol). The PDF book is 180 pages long, and has some nice pictures in it too. You need to like KFC on Facebook and give their app access to your profile, in order to download the PDF. Alternatively, here are some direct links:

The Colonel's grave is a big tourist attraction in KY. I went there and they have a map at the cemetary on how to find his grave. We got turned around and asked an employee for help. He pointed to a yellow painted line. It goes straight to the Colonel's grave.

Thanks. I look forward to seeing some of those recipes.

Please tell me there's a KFC at the actual cemetary…?

      • I do not recall seeing one.

do not recommend. they always burn my orders

  • The recipe book looks very old-skool. It's literally very "meat and potatoes", so don't expect Jamie Oliver levels of variety or flavour.

    • no chicken dips in liquid nitrogen either so sad

    • I would hope so, he was born more than 100 years ago.

  • The oatmeal cake looks like something my daughter would like. Also, it gave me the idea to slice some chorizo on top of scalloped potatoes next time I make that. I have a lot of venison chorizo that I need to use up….

I love looking at regional recipes, especially older ones. It reminds you to cook things that somehow went off the rotation.

I made the oatmeal cake tonight. I used a slightly smaller pan than specified, but found that I needed to cook it for over 45 minutes at 175. The recipe called for 15 - 20 minutes.

She loved it. I don't eat cake, but the next time I make it I'll add diced apples. It is very moist due to the cooked oatmeal. I added about double the specified amount of cinnamon.

Thanks OP. I'm always gratified to find something a loved one likes.
