Will this let me mine crypto to prevent mining crypto?

    • Everything's coming up Norton!

Don’t bother, it’s bloatware. After the 100th time pressing the “Don’t ask again” on a pop up, it makes you wonder why they even put it in there

    • Dont really think need to use their software for getting cashback just need to buy pretty sure.

I personally might agree with the bloatware title

Already says there is over 100 participants so sounds risky in terms of actually getting the $10 bonus.

    • What's the risk when it's free?

      • What happens if you don't get the cashback?

      • the risk is all the tracking issue when the cashback amount is large.
could end up paying $110 with $0 cashback.
I wouldn't jump on this ship.

Key is you shouldn't go with maximum $ plan, go for the lowest $ plan which qualifies for 100% CB

And ofcourse follow all terms of SB, and disable adblock etc.

          AND SCREEN RECORDING too

From one of the sales pages footer

Cancellation & Refund: you can cancel any of your contracts and request a full refund within 60 days of purchase for annual subscriptions and within 14 days of purchase for monthly subscriptions. For each annual renewal or trials with paid annual subscription, you can request a full refund within 60 days of being charged. For trials with paid monthly subscription, you can request a full refund within 14 days of being charged. For details, visit our Cancellation & Refund Policy

So I guess confirm that the version you’re grabbing is covered by the cancellation policy. The 60 days will be ample to know if it tracked. Risk is that you have to go through the refund headache…I have no idea how easy they do or don’t make that.

          • @Smigit: Would still need to have the cashback confirmed after it tracks which can take months (set a reminder to check). Best to take a screenie/vid of purchase then if you don't get the cashback tracked or confirmed you'd make a claim and/or DM the rep here. Shouldn't have any issue with tracking and approval if you did everything right in the first place (should purchase via the app in addition to what @USER DC mentioned above).

Yep. My Norton purchase from a year ago, which I only bought because of cashback, didn't track and was rejected despite all the evidence I could provide because the merchant wouldn't validate it (??). I'd steer clear of these high $ 100% cashback deals unless you actually need the product

      • +5

What's the risk when it's free?

It's not really free as the cashback excludes taxes.

For example, excluding GST the 100% cashback on a $39.99 plan comes down to $36.35

If it turns out you don't qualify for the $10 bonus then you will have made a $3.64 loss.

Even if you do qualify it's only a $6.36 profit, not $10 as OP stated.

        • Fair point

        • Theoretically, can't you signup under a country that doesn't regulate taxes(i.e 0% GST) for online purchases?

  • Upside risk only haha

Is Norton via JB not offering 100% Cashback anymore? I did this some weeks ago and used a perks $10 on it. Got $20 back for paying $10. You can just make a new account to get another $10 perks voucher and make profit.

Yea i bought it yesterday- the norton mobile one

An easier more sure way to get "100% Cashback + $10 Bonus"!

No waiting for uncertain cashback confirmation months later, paying for GST lost in that "100%" Cashback, & uncertainty if you will receive the $10 cashback bonus (that 100 have already clicked on)!!

Did that & received $20 back on $10 paid.
      Turned off auto-payment & Uninstalled.
      Limit of 3 per household😉

  • i will throw norton and mcafee to the bin

  • You and 6 others completed challenge. Yayy

    • and you got 100% cashback or like less than 100% standard cashback ( in terms of actual $$ you paid ?)

      • +3

I got 36.26 cb for getting the 39.99 dlrs plan plus 10 dlrs bonus cb

  • You won't get 100% back since the cb is always cost less tax. Really depending on the bonus $10 to get ahead.

  • This is the whole reason virtualisation was invented. :D

  • +2

    Too hard. Cbf

  • If they need to pay me to take their cr@p off their hands I don't want it.
    Nope.
