    oh….so jacinta wants tourism now?

    • +1

Yes, but no free camping in your tent OK ? Now you have to be packed in unaffordable accomodation or splurge for a SC rental, and find a spot in an overcrowded camp ground so it's COVID-safe

      Kia Ora !

      • -1

also…. make sure youre not an unapproved indie journalist on the official gov blacklist! …thats not OK!

        • +1

Uh oh, the foilers have arrived.

          • -1

@Dandaman21: nz loves censorship & bans journalists…what a CONSPIRACY theory!!! lol
its like saying the sky is blue.

            • -1

@franco cozzo: Nah, it bans people with violent criminal histories. I'm amazed anyone would argue in defence of a convicted wife beater.

              • +2

                @Dandaman21:

What the immigration officer did not explain was the fact that Australians can be refused entry only if they have been convicted of a criminal offence and served at least one year in jail within the last 10 years. What Avi Yemini was convicted of was a Summary Offence with no jail sentence, the lowest form of offending.

                …lol.

why was rukshan fernandes also barred entry?

                • -2

@franco cozzo: So, just confirming, you're here advocating for a convicted wife beater?

                  • +2

@Dandaman21: hes received his punishment for the low level offense….are you advocating for punishing people beyond the scope of the law and even after having been penalised?

why is rukshan fernandes being refused entry? surely youre not advocating for censorship and less media freedom?

                    • @franco cozzo: I'm saying I understand why NZ wouldn't be keen to allow a violent criminal into their country, the same as most countries. This isn't rocket science. (Unless you're a foiler I guess).

                      • +1

@Dandaman21: fined & served no time. for a low level offense.
but dont let facts get in the way of your sjw hysteria

                        • -3

@franco cozzo: Convicted of beating his wife. Can't imagine the kind of person who seeks to downplay domestic violence in an era that sees one woman a week dead.

                          • +2

@Dandaman21: lol virtue signal away….the internet will give you upvotes and you can validate yourself some more sjw

Immigration NZ seems also to be clutching at straws, given they’ve previously let convicted rapist Mike Tyson enter New Zealand. Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks’ guitarist, Robert ‘Waddy’ Wachtel, was allowed entry into New Zealand and Australia despite historic child pornography offences and the thoroughly vile, openly racist antisemite Ali Abuminah, founder of Electronic Intifada and vocal proponent of calling for a third intifada, had no problems whatsoever getting in.

A really good example of a convicted criminal entering New Zealand is Chelsea Manning, who was apparently deemed to be of good character despite serving seven years in jail for crimes against the State.

Aren't thet free camping spots around NZ? Last time I went almost a decade ago, we freecamped in a self-contained campervan 75% of the time (just not in Queenstown).

Has it changed drastically since then?

Edit:NVM, didn't read your comment properly lol.

And you don't have to bid for MIQ quarantine space..

    • +2

      It's Jacinda not Jacinta…

      • -3

sorry typo…im just used to just calling her horseface. lol

  • +3

The people's republic of Jacinta is still great for trout fishing though. If you can ignore all the nonsense.

    • -2

….how many injections do you need to have before they let you into that cesspool, these days? do they let anti-vax plague rats in now or are they still forcing compliance & mandates? asking for a mate….

      • +2

Dunno, don't care, not going there.

        • well, youd hate to roll up with all your fishing gear unprepared and find out the hard way!

        • +2

Lol. I'm sure they'll be devastated

      • +1

seeing antivax nuts still malding here is hilarious.

        • seeing covidians using that sort of rhetoric is even more so….the cult of corona lives on!

  • +1

Good luck reliably getting there. (profanity) Jetstar.

  • Hi OP. Any idea why Virgin is not flying into Auckland please?

    • +1
