Seems like a good gift for Father's Day. Bargain at $38.60. The quality of the bag is pretty good and made of waterproof material. The material seems to be PVC coated fabric.

      The ones I've seen that go straight on the roof have straps designed to go through the passenger compartment. I also use a non-slip mat to help prevent any movement.

      The total load is quite low since it's just sitting on the roof panel but it's fine for light but bulky stuff like pillows and sleeping bags and then the heavy stuff goes in the boot.

    Surely it would sag and just sit on the roof. You could use anything to support it, I would think. E.g. a sheet of plywood.

  Water resistant Vs waterproof.
  I've no experience with this bag but have tried others and for rain, they were hopeless.I didn't see a mention of waterproof on their website

    I have it. It is definitely waterproof material with heat welded seams to stop water seaping in through the seams.

      Are the dimensions correct? It doesn't look wide enough to be 970 x 970. 970 long ok, 460 high ok, but is it about 970 wide? Looks like about half that.

        What are you looking at? The picture of the packaging? I have measured it and it is as advertised. The picture shows the storage bag of the roof bag.

            @oztonyau: I have a hitch carrier too. I was going to load it standing on its side so it would stand high and narrow.
