Will chemist warehouse do price beat for this?

  • +8

Price match at chemist warehouse as per their policy.

    https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/aboutus/why-shop-with-us

    • Has anyone actually had a price match done?

      • +1

Yes. Good Price Pharmacy have a physical store, they'll honour it.

      • +3

Did a price match just now, $41.24 for the Musashi 2kg whey

        • How did you contact them? Good Price Pharmacy is only available in store, whereas Chemist Warehouse won't do Click & Collect price matching.

      • Just did one today on the creatine tub. He checked their website and checked to see if they have a physical store. Worked out great

    *creatine

    • creatine breaks down into creatinine.

Were eating shit from our stomach now?

      • +1

Yes but you don’t eat it… read the title/description

  • Is Musashi pre work out good?

    • +1

Just finished w/o after a dose. Timing is everything to get the best out of any pre but does the trick for me. Haven’t tried anything else recently though to compare back to back.

    No 2kg plant protein :(

    • +17

Cows eat plants so it is plant protein just it's been processed via a cow.

  • Not really true. The 2kg ones are normally $64.95. Amazon has them for that price right now with free delivery.

    • Based on Chemist Warehouse which is usually very sharp with Musashi pricing, the alleged RRP posted by Good Price Pharmacy is legit, e.g., Musashi 100% Whey 2kg is RRP $86.99 from Good Price, RRP $87.99 from CWH.

      • Amazon, normally $72 and currently $64.95.

        [Amazon] (https://amzn.asia/d/0NEWpkH)

        • +1

Oh I never disagreed with you re Amazon, only that Good Price aren't fibbing with the supposed RRP (that's much higher than Amazon's regular price).

Just for fun I visited musashi.com.au — the manufacturers themselves really are selling 100% Whey 2kg for $87.99.

In short: Amazon's a good place to go if CWH (or Coles or…) don't have them on 50% or other big sale.

          • +2

@Member 0230: Lol funny how text doesn't carry our thoughts. I was just confirming that I was wrong. It's normally $72 but currently a bit cheaper so I wasn't correct. 😀

The preworkout was half price at Coles last week, alongside C4 and BSC. I bought both of the latter, but not Musashi… I think this is a good price though, based on the research I did.

…I just realised this comment is probably mostly irrelevant and probably useless information. I press post commend anyway though.

    • +3

I think it's relevant and useful to know Coles sometimes sell these at half price, thanks for sharing.

  • When did creatine become $44 RRP? It used to be the cheapest supplement

      Creatine makes kids grow taller

Each additional 0.1 g of creatine consumed per day increases height by 0.60 cm (simple model) or 0.30 cm (adjusted model). The daily intake of creatine from a regular diet in taller children and adolescents was higher than in shorter peers aged 2-19 years.

I cannot believe they're selling creatine monohydrate for $230/kg lmao

        • If there was ever proof that the fitness supplement industry's target audience are the eskimos who buy ice then this is it. That pricing is ridiculous and the people that are buying clearly have more money/credit than sense.

        • inflated price with their permanent 40-50% discounted code to create the false impression of a good price

      • That's kinda interesting regarding height. Would be an interesting thing to look into further, cheers.

Definitely think any parents looking into it probably could focus more on dietary sources rather than supplementary anyway. Just a good balanced diet is always better than one that isn't balanced.

    • I've only just bought the supplement and I dunno if it worth that much money imo.

The only Musashi I like is their energy drink cans, no guarana/taurine just Caffeine & vitamins.

    • +2

Signup for free to the Musashi website and you will be emailed a 40% off your first purchase which you could use on a 12 pack of the fruit punch flavour thats not currently available in stores.

      Win win.

      • +1

Thanks I'll have a look, was planning on buying bulk online.

        • +1

No worries its cheaper to buy 3 x 12 packs with the 40% off code then it is to buy the 3 pack promo pack they offer.

3 12 packs works out to be just under 97 inc postage.

          • @dazza826:

Sorry, this coupon is not applicable to selected products.

            Bummer

@Jimbuscus: Odd worked for me when I did it earlier. Ill spin up a 2nd account and try it out.

Tried on a 2nd account and works fine doing the following

              1) Login to account
              2) search for energy and click the 12 pack listing or click this url -
              https://musashi.com/product/energy-drink-500ml-12pack/

Do not click the 3x 12 pack listing as you only get a flat 30% off making it $100.80 + 9.90 postage. No additional discounts are offered on bundles.

              4) select flavours and qty and add to cart
              5) apply 40% off discount code and checkout
              6) it will give a warning saying 40% coupon code is applied and can't be used in conjunction with other coupons (ie you cant stack the default think it's 25% off with performance labs but you'll see the discount is indeed 40% so ignore this)
              7) Your final price should be 96.30 inc postage if ordering 3

      • Thanks for the 40% off tip — but all I can see is 25% off for the Musashi Performance Lab. Maybe the 40% off is finished?

        • You have to sign up for an account which is free, they then send you an email with a 40% once off code which can be used on all items bar non promo bundles ie if they already have a 30% discount for 2-3 items.

  • when does this sale end,I can't see an end date?great price,thanks!

Just found it,the seventh of Sep.

  • I thought I'd prefer their chocolate, but their vanilla is really nice with some added salt.

  • Thanks OP - price beat at CW

  • Chemist warehouse mount Waverley didn't honour it. Cited the store has to be Victorian, despite showing them it only said Australian pharmacy on the website. Avoid that store if you can.

    • They have store in every major city in AU even brisbane.

    • They have a store in frankston

I attempted to Price match at Belconnen chemist warehouse and was denied by a woman when asked to speak to a manager she responded that she was the assistant manager and her reasoning was because there was no good price pharmacy in the ACT. I explained she's not following policy and that's not the price match/beat policy she was also quite rude.
I've looked over chemist warehouse policy and there is no wording that says anything about distance.

I called chemist warehouse head office and they confirmed distance doesn't matter and took my information and hopefully will get back to me with a resolution

I was trying to get the one product that isn't half price
        Musashi Creatine Unflavoured 350g

        • I considered creatine as haven't really dabbled there before but I don't like the sound of becoming dependent on sticking with it once you start. Or has my reading mislead me?!
