Seems like a good price for a 45W PD charger from a known brand, should be enough to charge small laptops. USB-C cable not included. Max current output is 3A, so all compliant cables will work.

Buy some almond milk to reach the $39 free shipping threshold perhaps.

65W and the better option IMO for a few dollars more:

65W indeed is the sweet spot, but Heymix isn’t OzBargainer approved haha. Just have a look at the past deals and you will see a lot of complaints

I have a couple of the 65W Heymix, a 100W and another desk charger and happy with all of them. Not seen the reliability issues others have stated.

Yeah, but why would you skimp on a few bucks and risk your phone, laptop and house?

This isn't the days with a 5w, 10w, 5v chargers anymore, where if things go wrong, they can only go slightly wrong.

@annarchon: The Heymix 65W GAN chargers were $23 a short while back, so it's a very decent saving over a 65W Anker charger.

Don't get me wrong, I think it is absolutely worth buying Anker, and have loads of Anker products, including a charger. I only use the Anker on my expensive electronics.

But for $23, I grabbed one of each of the Heymix 65W chargers to test and use for other projects. (Using USB-C triggers and adding your own port, you can use USB-C to power all sorts of stuff).

They seem like decent products - if you get a good one. They are extremely compact - basically clones of brand name chargers.

Based on feedback and online reviews they obviously have or have had quality control issues. It would be interesting to know the actual failure rate as a percentage of the total number sold.

I have found many reputable brands have faced the same problems and failures through Covid supply chain issues. Quality control is hard at the best of times. And allegedly, many factories and suppliers were selling 'seconds' that don't meet quality control, as new, no problem parts and chargers.

I stuck my Heymix chargers on my load tester, and ran them at 65W output for 48 hours each. No issues with either, and no coil whine or other problems people have experienced. So I am pretty happy to use them on most stuff.

Of course everyone's experience is different, and most people don't have the option to stress test electronics before use. So certainly buyer beware. But they are also reasonably compelling for a lot of people when discounted to low prices.

I have this:HEYMIX GaN 65W PD Charger 2-Port QC 4.0, USB-C Quick Charger, USB Wall Charger.
It failed after about 3 months - no output.
    No more Heymix for me!

  • Seems to be back in stock - just ordered one at $33.08
