[NSW] Strawberry Trays of 15 Punnets (250g Each) for $6.99 @ Harris Farm Lindfield, Pennant Hills, Erina Fair

670

Strawberries are small-medium in size. They would be treated as second class water damaged but are perfect. Works out to be $1.86/kg.

I heard a guy say they sold over a hundred trays in 3 hours and won't need to store tonight, but still some left when I bought a couple of trays. Be quick as many are walking out with a tray.

These tray sale deals usually applies to all stores. And in my experience they are very fresh and perfect for freezing.

        • oh god. that was a good sale. I wonder what dictates staff whether to do huge markups like this so I can be ready haha

  • I just bought a dehydrator for $900. I wish I can get hold of them, well too far.

Probably better off spending that money on a freezer - retains nutrients better and great in museli/oats, etc. in the morning or smoothies. Does have running cost but this will reduce in the future with solar, etc.

Having said that, I haven't tasted strawberry chips, so would be interesting.

      • my daughter and son loves them. I bought the organic ones costing me around $50 a kilo, They can take it to school for snacks.

        • Gosh, does your family eat organic strawberries often?

          Is everything else organic?

          • @ihbh: Try to but not all the dirty dozen. We should eat organic

just got 2 boxes from Lindfield Harris Farm - $7 per tray of 15 x 250gm punnets of 'Perfect Berries' from Wamuran Qld

small/medium size - mostly 25-35mm long strawberries - not the sweetest I've had - but sweet enough -

and at less than 50c/punnet ($1.87/kg) some of the cheapest I've had - so yeah OK !

there was a good supply out the front when we arrived about 1045am this morning

and I even rang them and a guy said he'd hold a couple of boxes for me - but no need as there were plenty this morning.

    • I'm freezing mine right now. Not sure if I should add some sugar to them for smoothies, or keep it naturally semi sweet

Had about 70 or so trays at Pennant Hills just now. Plenty of stock.

  • This is at Erina Fair on the central coast also, was being advertised there today
