Bought last time. Came quickly. Impressed for quality for price. Felt like a $30 umbrella, not a $10 one.

    • rrp is $90 for the 3 :P

    • Also very happy with mine . Highly recommended .

    • "Double canopy design to prevent the umbrella inverting in high winds"

Good enough reason for me hahaha

      • +7

well actually, I bought mine last time the deal was on here, and one of them broke in the strong winds last week.
But, emailed OO.com.au with pictures and quoted that sentence exactly like you did, and they sent me a new one which arrived today :)
        really happy!

        • +2

It's nice that they replace it, but that doesn't do anything for you in the middle of torrential rain. :\

    • yep damn good brolly. width helpful for those showery windy days in melb…..apparently we have a few.

    • +7

      Agreed.

Can verify that this umbrella is:

      • Boot closable proof: closed car boot on brolly came out okay
      • Tight Narrowway proof: its a huge umbrella(a good thing), and i have bashed these around numerous walls, poles and 6ft+ people still okay
      • Bad guy proof: doubles as a huge prodding stick to keep enemies at bay, acts as a decent spartan shield for the odd mud fight.

Oh and its Weather proof, has served me well in windy perth at the moment

Definate positive to this deal and product.

Brought last time, came fast and a very good umbrella for the price.

  • +1

    Thanks, missed out last time.

  • +14

I also recommend these. Very cheap, although savings are possibly offset by the numerous psychologist appointments my daughter needs after nightmares once she saw the woodworm logo/character on the umbrella

    • +1

      ROFL!

    • +1

Yeah I want to buy these each time they come up but I don't like having an advertising logo on my umbrella. I wish they'd take it off and just put it on the inside.

  • +1

I get an error when trying to deliver it to my work (postcode 2000).
"The following items cannot be shipped and must be removed from your order"
    Anyone else get this?

    • +1

Got the same error 3500 :(

      • +4

yeah i got that. it through paypal?? just paid by other option and it will go through

        • +1

Got that error too, I'll try not using PayPal :)

  • Just picked a set up - Now I have a walking stick to use on the way to work when its not raining but it may be (good ole Melbourne)

  • It failed for me using the one click paypal, but using secure checkout then paypal , was fine!

    Finally OO has something worthy!

    • +1

It works with secure checkout followed by paypal.

      Should they fix this problem.

      • I used Paypal to check-out and got the same error.

        • Fantastic, it's just on time. it worked fine through paypal now. They may have fixed the issue.

  • Cool! Got one pack myself. I always had issues with crappy umbrellas being destoryed whenever there was high winds. Looking forward to it.

  • +1

What appropriate timing! I see a few people with these on the streets haha!

  • Bought these last time, really good quality. Although it is quite large when walking down a busy street.

    • Yes but keeps you dry!

      • +6

and everyone else around you wet

  • I have these too, very happy with the quality

  • +1

bought one last time in the afternoon, came seconde day morning, good stuff

  • -2

I just bought one today. Lets hope that the quality would be better than those cheap Chinese imported ones that I got from Shopping Square not long ago.

    • -4

I too looking for some really good quality umbrella, even Oroton umbrella has bad quality, really sick of those Chinese imports!

    • +8

Funny comment there. You buy cheap you get cheap. More likely than not these umbrellas will also be made in China. People have a common notion that if it's made in China it's going to be crap.

It's crap because we're not willing to pay high prices, not because they can't produce good quality stuff. If you're willing to pay premium prices, they could probably make an umbrella for you capable of parachuting off a cliff.

      • +1 for "make an umbrella for you capable of parachuting off a cliff."

but oroton umbrellas are marketed as "up market" umbrellas, aren't they?

  • For those who's bought and used these brollies before, is the shaft carbon fiber (look-alike)? Is the whole thing light weight?

    • Yes

      • +4

        Yes to what, man?

        • Yes to the above questions if you bother to read.

  • +1

Gotta buy another 3, one of my last ones snapped in the storm (Wasn't impressed, OO wouldn't honour the warranty)… but other than the one freak storm the umbrellas are impressive quality and size.

    • OO honoured mine when I emailed them…?

      • Was it caused by product fault or damage during a storm?… I emailed them twice, they refused to honour it. In a way I don't mind, they would have wanted me to ship it to them and it would've been more cost effective to buy 3 more, which I did… I now have 5, one in each car, one in each office, and 1 at home!

  • +1

Anxiously waiting for mine…… :) great deal !

  • Just ordered..thanks ca61eguy.

  • +2

funny everytime sydney has heavy rain and flood, OO pops up this deal.

  • +1

they are not windproof by the way.

    • +1

really? but looking at their description, they should be, no?
"double canopy design to prevent the umbrella inverting in high winds."

      • Went out of my house carrying the black and white one, wind blew- told myself that's fine since it's windproof. Wind blew again, umbrella was totally ripped apart, even the metal joints fell apart. The one in black suffered the same fate 2 days ago.

  • +1

Bought the 3 pack a few months ago, they are OK as a daily umbrella, but lack the strength or structure of a real golf umbrella. Handle came off very quickly, had to glue back on. Would buy again though, but not as a golf umbrella.

  • +2

I realised I didn't need three umbrella's but then decided I could keep one in my golf bag, so I bought a golf trolley as well. $65.15 all up, damn you OzB!

    • +4

I went one further and bought a mansion with a golf course, damn you OZB!

    • +2

I got myself some balls… GOLF balls that is!

  • +1

I bought these the last time they were on and my wife used it when walking the kids to school on a windy day and it inverted even with the supposed dual-canopy design.
Also, a word of advise for those who get these, be sure to check each one when you receive it as one of mine had hole (bad stitching) on it. I sent OO an email with pics and they honoured the warranty but wouldn't be happy if I found that out only when I'm about to use it.

  • +1

would it be any help to point out that they say "wind-resistant" and not "wind-proof" ?

  • Nice umbrella, highly recommend it to anyone. Fast delivery and decent quality for the price.

  • Three packs together! Great. Thank you.

  • Highly recommend these. I bought a 3-pack last year and all 3 are still going strong :)

  • Just a note to people considering buying one of these, they are MASSIVE. Like, sort of ridiculously big when you're walking down the street - might get a few looks if you're a bit on the short/small side. But a quality umbrella nonetheless.

    • Just a note to people considering buying one of these, they are MASSIVE.

Time for a quick that's what she said! :p

    • Specs say:
      - Total Length: 100cm
      - Umbrella Arc: 152cm (60")
      - Umbrella Diameter: 129.5cm (51")

      So yep, that's pretty large

(Ordered - this is a good deal)

  • Love these - bought the pack and they are great.
Defs recommend. In addition, excellent for poking people, the extra length puts you well
    outside of any defensive positions.

  • Perfect, there's a mad storm brewing in Perth as well! :)

  • bought 3 last time. very good durable umbrellas.

  • I am looking for umbrellas that can be folded and stored in a backpack. Anyone bought the pocket umbrellas from OO? Are they good quality? Have those ever been on sale? Thanks.

  • Bought a set. Thanks OP!

  • Contemplated on buying these at normal price after the Sydney storm last week destroyed my umbrella. Didn't get around to. Saw this deal, sold!!

  • Says $24.95 when I click on the link, have they gone back up in price?

    • I believe it has

  • I would pay 10 bucks for one of this for who already purchased!! anyone interest? Sydney

  • One for sale in Brisbane for 10 bucks.

  • Another one for sale in Brisbane as i really only need one.

  • Damn, Been waiting for these to go on sale for ages. Wasn't online yesterday and look what happens.

Went to buy them anyway. Is it common knowledge they don't deliver to Perth?
