Breast price I've seen so far.

Please tell me more about the breast price

    • +14

It's a very juicy price, you must admit…

    • There’s always a middle split

      • Two camps

    • breast comment!

    • Breast quality as well?

    • +1

I forgot what the product was after reading all these breast jokes. Had to scroll up

  • +12

    Does it come in pairs?

    • +20

      I'm not changing it…

      • +2

I'll always hold it against you if you do

      • +5

        Thanks for the mammories

        • +1

even though they weren't so great?

The Freestyle LSP3B Full HD HDR Smart TV LED 4K Projector (17-100 Inch Projection) - Compatible With Amazon Alexa, Smart TV By Tizen, 180 Degree Viewing Angle, Auto Keystone, 360 Degree Speaker Audio https://amzn.asia/d/6EDOV7D

    Amazon has better deal.

    • No free battery my bro

    • Wait, is that a straight copy of the Samsung unit or offloading due to poor sales?

      • Huh? It's the same unit…

      • UK import

      • extra battery local warranty and a UK to AU adaptor plus risk of damage during transit as Amazon sometimes make you wonder who decide what to use to wrap glassware….bubble bag!??!

    • Amazon states 230 brightness. Samsung states 550 led lumens. Which is correct?

    • Full hd or 4k, which is it? 3d?

      • It's amazing what you find out when you click the link

    • +1

Full HD HDR Smart TV LED 4K Projector

It's full hd only, not sure why they're mentioning 4K.

  • +2

    Is that your breast price?

    • +1

      breast yet

    • May go lower in time, inflation bouncing around alot

      • +2

Prices have drooped over time though

    • +1

I don’t think that’s their breast price though

  • -6

    1080p on a 100 inch must be painful…

    • It's not terrible if you're far enough.

    • +5

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a portable projector. It's not meant to compete with a permanent projector or a 100" TV.

    • +1

All I read was “100 inch must be painful…”

  • Approx. 230 ANSI lumens.

    • So not very bright. Room will need to be very dark.

It's also DLP. I prefer laser projectors, like this one…
      https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1593993-REG/epson_v11…

Brighter, last longer, more uniform colours and brightness, and uses less power. But the Epson doesn't seem available in Australia, and cannot be powered via USB.

  • Get up to $2000 cashback* if you buy a participating TV and Soundbar in the same transaction.

FYI that's only $150 on this

I'd say go for the Xiaomi Smart Projector 2 Pro for similar price (Kogan has it for $900 or on eBay coupon deals for around $900).

You get much brighter picture, better contrast and Android TV which has better app support.

Only go for this if you really need the battery operation…

    • +1

Who would have guessed a normal projector would be better than a battery powered portable projector………

      • +2

Except this is not a battery projector. You need a separate battery, and the Xiaomi is as portable as this. So if you want the battery go for a similar priced Xgimi, Blitz wolf or Anker.

The main gimmick of the Samsung is it's flip mechanism for projection to ceiling. And based on a couple of reviews I've seen it doesn't even do that properly.

I've seen one of these in action in TGG Projector room and it was so dim and washed out even at around 60" projection.

I was simply pointing out that anyone looking at spending this much on a projector should consider similarly priced options that actually provide a decent PQ.

Xgimi Halo+/Horizon is another option, but it's usually around $1400, and even on sale about $1200 I don't see the value VS Xiaomi for $900. Keep in mind the Lumen rating of Xgimi is inflated and it is actually documented. So UNLESS someone needs 3D which is available on Xgimi, Xiaomi would be just fine.

Main downside of Xiaomi is lack of adjustable legs for getting Keystone right, but for portable scenarios the built-in correction does a decent job.

        • +1

I've got the Xgimi Halo+ and roof projection is easy… You just lay it down 🙄

Samsung out here pretending they've solved a global crisis.

But yeah most of the other options are better than the Samsung… Brightness is the biggest problem

  • +7

Last time the freestyle popped up, this excellent review was posted. I ended up going with the xgimi halo+ ($1.1k) instead of this as a result.

    https://youtu.be/-DQjdLu9a18

Picture quality, software, sound all better on Xgimi.

Samsung has a clever tilting stand design which is great. The colour correction thing looks so finnicky that it's probably not worth the hassle.

All things considered, i went with the xgimi.

    • +1

Can't see it anywhere for $1.1k. seems to be $1400 in most places.

Edit: rather than downvoting me, how about a link?

      • He might be referring to the non-plus model which is around $1.1k I don’t think the plus has ever been as low as $1.1k

      • Sorry you're right, I paid 1.3k. brain fart

    • The halo+ is almost double the price of freestyle.
      Is it worth it?

      • +1

I had both and I'd say yes hands down for the $400.

Built in battery, a mile brighter (Samsung is pathetic), and much better sound quality.

There is the Yaber everyone froths over for like $300 as well, and a few other options similar quality to Halo+.

      • Check out the review I posted. I value picture quality quite highly so the additional spend was worth it for me. Your call on what you value.

It's $300 more though, not double

My Kogan F800 is still going strong! It would be nice to have a better one but I can't justify dropping $1k on something a bit better until this one dies.

    • I have this, it’s quite good for the money

  • Seriously annoyed as I purchased this from Samsung on the 16th August - 2 days before the promotion started! :-(

    • Reach out to them and ask if they have price protection or something.

      • Sadly not, but good suggestion, thanks! Just bad luck. Oh well!

    • -1

Prices are different bro. Quick let's all go out and buy Ferraris too. I hear they go getter than corollas.

      • I like the sound of this go getter feature. Ferrari it is.

      • The Xgimi Halo Plus is $1299 for a significantly better projector. When did a Ferrari cost 30% more than a Corolla?

        • Well the freestyle is $900 from the education store with battery. I've watched old mates YouTube video and I'm not seeing $400 worth of significance. No doubt it's a bit better, but for a portable projector most people will use occasionally, in not convinced it's $400 well spent.

          • @wombat81: Wait until you want to use it in anything but a pitch black room

            • @TheFlyingCoder: I think you're exaggerating. Even old mate on YouTube that's been linked 50 times in this thread said as long as the room is relatively dark, it's fine.

              • @wombat81: Yeah I'm exaggerating a bit of course 😅

It is not as bright as it should be for the price point, especially when put up against all the competitors.

If you cant use it comfortably in a dimly lit room it's not worth $1K imo

  • +1

Becareful with Samsung's promotion, they will do everything in their power to reject your valid claim.

  • Does it have internal mammories?

  • Freestyler
    Rock the microphone
    Carry on with the freestyler

Here is $50 Promotional code if anybody want to use

    “ MA2-N5WD-PMSY-M4MC“.

    • +1

Used - thank you! Got it for $849.10 in total in combination with the education store!

  • I wonder what the likelihood of getting a price match on the Samsung Edu store price at JB Hifi tomorrow…
Also FYI - $995 at The Good Guys, and if you click the price check button it brings it down to $975!

    • I've never heard of any stores price matching with the edu store.

I don't get the novelty of things like this. An unbiased review if anyone's interested - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DQjdLu9a18

    • This has already been posted multiple times if you'd cared to read the thread. Even though you don't have a use-case, it doesn't mean others don't.

          Paint my chicken coop!

  • Also $895.50 through The Good Guys eBay store with code PAUGSEP10. I assume you would still be able to claim the battery pack since it's The Good Guys?

  • xgimi halo+ or xgimi horizon is a better option, but after reading from xgimi forums they seems to have no after sales support after xgimi stuffed up with their firmware updates. Maybe samsung is better if some problems arises?

    • Yeah, it's pretty clear that the halo+ is a better unit, but it's not available at any normal stores. You'd have to get it from Amazon and send it back to them if you had issues. I think the Freestyle is a better way to go from that respect.

      • I’d prefer to buy from Amazon as the halo+ is sold and shipped by Amazon AU. Can return hassle free and get a full refund if there’s an issue with the unit. If you buy from Samsung AU, they make you jump through hoops just to get it repaired.

        • Agreed, never had a problem with Amazon returns, they refund the day I drop off at the post office.

Samsung have screwed me Multiple times, especially during the monitor apocalypse of 2021 waiting months for an update 🙄

  • The brightness on these are so bad.

    • Do you have one?

  • search for the youtube review form 'the hook up' channel the guy, he didn't rate it very well for its cost and provided some good alternatives. he is typically very fair and balance imo.
