      • +1

Disposable cards are Mastercard.. Just tried, got 12 months subscription. Cheers

    • Didn't work for me. Tried virtual & disposable revolut cards.

Looks like the card number you entered is not eligible for this benefit.

Check your card number or try a different eligible card.

Thank you for posting this! I went to revolut and both my physical and virtual card were visa. Came here, saw this and realised I could get a mastercard, so deleted my visa virtual card and created a new mastercard and got 12 months :D … Screw citibank for not being eligible though! Can't wait to cancel them!

      • how did you specifically "create" mastercard?

well i liked Citi for low forex intl transfer, replaced with Wise now

  • No issues here. Was eligible with just my commbank debit card. For 12 months as well

  • +1

12 months with Citibank Plus MC

    • That didn't work for me. Nor 28 Deg or CBA debit.
They must be cross checking details or something.

    • Works on Citibank Gold too, basically the standard debit card, 12 whole months!

  • Woohoo 12months with commbank platinum debit card… now shopback just needs to do some upsized giftcards again

  • 12 months with Revolut.Thanks OP

If your card isn't eligible, try bypassing Mastercard and go straight to the Deliveroo link:

    https://deliveroo.com.au/mastercard

I don't know if this method works (my card was eligible), but it's worth a shot!

    • Wow my card wasn't eligible with the posted link but is eligible for 6 months from your link!! Legend!

      • +1

same here, but for 12 months.

        Excellent.

    • Cheers mate. This link worked a treat.

    • this worked on my Citi Premier card, didn't work from Mastercard but got 12 months from this link

  • +3

Worked with my Up card. Thanks OP!

  • +1

    Wise = 12 mths :)

  • Can confirm Wise Mastercard gets 12 months.

For those wondering about Wise being Mastercard or Visa, what you'll find is that the older cards are Mastercard, and their newer cards are now issued as Visa. I also tried generating a virtual/digital card via the app for this offer, and it is also Visa now. So this will work for you if you have an older [Transfer]Wise card that is still Mastercard (check eligibility first, of course).

    Thank you OP, good one!

  • Great deal! Got 12 months with my Qantas Money Platinum MasterCard.

Next step will just need to wait for 15% or 20% discount Deliveroo Gift card.

This one just expired few days ago, https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/722414

Fingers crossed hopefully few coming up soon.

    • +2

i usually find around 20% premium on these food delivery sites so would bring it to about standard rates!!

    • You have to pay with the same card that you used to get free membership, I would think.

  • +2

Worked on my Westpac MasterCard Black. Thanks OP

    • was it 6mths or 1yr?

      • A year

  • Can we join and cancel straight away and still get the benefit ?

    • +1

No, you lose the remaining time when you cancel. I set a reminder for 1 year from now.

      • +1

        oh ok, thanks

  • +1

12mo with Bankwest Plat MC - sweet!

  • I tried with my regular Westpac debit card and was offered 6 months, so I cancelled that and am trying my 28degrees CC but am getting the error "Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum quantity of 1 allowed for this product". Anyone have any idea? I'm assuming my cookies are holding on to the original card.

    • Try changing your email. It worked for me when I did that + incognito mode.

      • Thanks! Am I still able to link to my original account tied to the first email? I thought you'd have to enable it via the link emailed out.

        -edit
doesn't matter. 28deg only gets me 6 months also. weird how different the results are.

        • Just as an experiment, I tried using a different credit card under a different name and email - it still worked regardless. To be safe, try using this link from deliveroo instead: https://deliveroo.com.au/mastercard

+1 for Revolut and 12 months!
Gotta love a good bargain haha

    • +1

      revolut is visa ?

      • +1

I already had a virtual VISA card, but then when I went to go create a new one, it was a MasterCard and that worked :)

    • +1

+1 Yes, just got 12 months through a temp Revolut card

  • +1

Got 6 months with Up! Score!!
Heads up - followed instructions as per the website to sign up but didn't work. Was going to charge after the first 30 days.
Had to click the link that was received in the email. This updated the billing cycle start in 6 months.

Will people actually use deliveroo or just here for free membership

    • plently of people moving over since ubers stupid fees increased

      • From my experience
        It goes

Ubereats (when they give vouchers constantly)
        Door dash
        Menulog
        Deliveroo

        • I wish they would give vouchers at all, i haven't seen one work for me since the first order one…

          • @dbmitch: I been getting vouchers weekly, last ones were

            3 x $30 off $60 spend at grocery

I find the buy one get one free on uber very good also.

Most of the vouchers come with uber perks membership i think

  • Bulk 💪

  • Just claimed the 6 months then found out Deliveroo isn't in my city yet..

  • A lot of restaurants have 'free delivery' and just build the delivery cost into their inflated prices (compared to going into their store), so this 'free delivery' with Deliveroo Plus is kind of useless for those stores.

    • Except the prices were already inflated prior to this free delivery offer. So still a saving.

  • On bankwest cc worked

  • Unless you are working on the clock, or due to transport challenges, but for most people if you have time to eat you have time to pickup your order.

    • +2

You seem upset about the whole food delivery industry.

      R U OK?

  • Thanks, doesn’t work on Citi Premier Mastercard

  • Thanks OP. Also reminded me I have credit expiring in couple weeks

  • Question is can you cancel right away else you get stung at some point if you forget

  • 6 months with a CBA debit!

    Thanks!

  • Do they have an Android App? When I click the google play button on their site, it goes to apple app store!
If so, it is this one?: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deliveroo.…
Just concerned by the "UK" bit.

  • Thanks OP! Wouldn’t have learned about this if it wasn’t for your post. Got 12 months on a Bankwest Qantas Platinum.

  • Thanks OP. Citi debit worked for 12 months. I hope not but can we pay from any other method once membership is active or it has to be the mastercard also if one forget to cancel then does it roll on to monthly subscription (i.e. $12 a month)?

  • +1

An example from my local Pizza shop. A medium pizza costs $18 in the restaurant. On deliveroo before delivery it's $28. Not much value in this even with free delivery.

  • I've tried numerous times with the error 'couldn't verify phone number' each time. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong.

  • Nob question, let's say we signed up using Citibank debit, once subscribed, do we need to pay the order with the same card or can be changed and not losing the subscription ?

  • Puting in my 28 Degrees Platinum Mastercard particulars only produced an offer for 6 months free delivery, not 12 months as it was supposed to offer. As a result, I will not proceed.

  • does this only work on new deliveroo accouns?

  • Worked with my Citi Debit card, 12 months!

  • Got 12 months Gold with Citibank platinum card, thanks. Would have been a double bonus if Citi still had the $10 Deliveroo rebate but I think that's over now.

Deliveroo was my go-to until they added a "service fee" on top of the delivery fee, which I could accept it if the price for each menu item wasn't jacked up by a couple of bucks.

    • It’s been extended to Dec I’m pretty sure

  • I registered but it put me into the 30 day free trial and didnt give me an option of doing 12 months.
When i go back to the eligibility page, it says max accounts reached so hopefully it went through

  • humm card didnt work

    Something went wrong
Looks like the card number you entered is not eligible for this benefit.

Check your card number or try a different eligible card.

  • Westpac Platinum Mastercard came up as 6 months but they emailed an offer this week stating 12 months so am currently chasing them for it

  • Has anybody actually been reimbursed for this yet? I was charged but did not get any money back.
